Great product
Used it through one Sean last year. Pretty happy with this, is nice and lightweight way better than lugging a bulky tripod. The push to deploy button is very nice. It held up great all season and is a big help in the ground blind with the kids. Easy to adjust even for my 8 year old and easy to move around with. I’d recommend and buy again.

A must for thermal hunting
I’ve been hunting at night with a thermal scope for the past five years or so. Unlike a day scope, using thermals in the dark requires you to scan repeatedly with the rifle, unless you have a hand-held scanner. Shouldering the rifle repeatedly can get tiring, so most people will use some kind of aid, like a monopod or tripod to help walk, scan and shoot.I recently retired my telescoping monopod which had put in good service. I’d seen the Primos Trigger Stick Gen 3 reviewed by Todd Huey on his Lone Star Boars channel, and decided to give it a try. After hunting with this for the past few weeks I’m very impressed. This thing is so good it makes me wonder how I managed for so long without it. It’s actually lighter than my old monopod. It's much, much steadier either as a monopod or a tripod. The head tracks beautifully. It deploys/adjusts in seconds. The finish is smooth, seems durable and feels like cerakote. I particularly like how the Stick adjusts so easily up or down in almost any type of terrain. You can use it from the sitting or standing position, in a hide or from a shooting chair or whatever. It comes with two heads, one for the shooting yoke (included) and the other as a spare. On my spare I mounted a BOG UltraLite clamping head for when I’m stationary and using the thermal camera app on my phone. The BOG head is a bit heavy for this setup, and the Trigger Stick a bit light; I would not recommend using it this way for walking around or in heavy wind. This device works best with the yoke alone.Bottom line is that so far the Trigger Stick has far exceeded my expectations and I would recommend it to anyone who hunts, day or night.

A must for hunters!
I like this shooting stick the best! It’s lightweight to carry & the quick set trigger lets you set up quickly with one hand adjustments even on uneven ground! It’s much easier & quicker to set up than the ones where u have to adjust the height on each leg one at a time. A steady rest for longer shots & great for different height hunters! I love these shooting sticks and I would recommend the tripod! The monopod and bipod will work but the tripod is the best (& most stable in my opinion).

Wonderful for shooting
Wonderful. Works perfectly. Quick setup. Even good for a walking stick. Will be buying another one.

Good for shooting, not great for optics/camera
tl;dr: Solid for shooting, poor tolerance and lots of slop for optics/camera, tripod comes with camera baseI shot an elk and mule deer in the same day off a set of these last year and can attest they are solid for that purpose. I shot on uneven hills both times and they're quick to deploy and easy to adjust. That one was on loan so I bought my own set this year, along with a camera attachment. First of all, the TRIPOD (not sure about monopod/bipod) comes with a camera attachment so that was a waste of money, not clearly explained in the description. Second, I bought a panning head to put on it, which my binocular post goes on top of (if you don't have a panning head, you can only pan left/right with the tripod and not up/down - not ideal for mountains). When I put it all together I found there is a lot of slop in the tolerance between the attachment mechanism and the attachment (camera base or shooting yolk). This isn't a problem with the yolk and a gun because it's pushing down, but if you put upward/left/right force on top (i.e. panning head with binoculars / spotting scope), there is a very noticeable wobble.Good tripods aren't cheap, especially if you go the Outdoorsman route. I was hoping to have one that was quick to deploy, could swap attachments fast, good construction and not crazy expensive. You can have two or three of those things, but not all four. In this case, construction isn't great but the rest is pretty good.

Love this new shooting stick
Love this new shooting stick. This was an upgrade for me from an earlier-gen monopod and there are two big differences. First, it seems to be much stronger. Maybe it's just because it's a tripod, but the monopod when used as a walking stick did occasionally collapse if you put a lot of weight on it. They say not to use it as a walking stick... but you kind of don't have a choice because it's not like you can hold anything ELSE while you're carrying it... Anyway, this one seems to hold triple the weight - I didn't try to force it, but easily put 25-30lbs on it without it collapsing. That's plenty.Second, the quick change camera mount is a really nice feature. It's not obvious from the listing but this does indeed include the 1/4" camera adapter accessory, so what's in the box is a complete gun + spotting scope solution. If I had a wish list for Gen 4 it would be:1. Some type of lanyard to hold the shooting rest while a scope is mounted, or better still, some type of hinge to "flip" it to the side. It's REALLY easy to lose/drop it, and that's a problem because it has a custom base. I imagine getting a replacement would be a pain, and losing it in the field would mess up your day...2. Improve the quick-change latch mechanism. It's SUPER weak and if you don't get the side lock firmly latched it's really easy to knock your spotting scope off the mount!!! I did this twice already, fortunately with a super cheap scope into snow, but I'd be very nervous about putting an expensive piece of glass on that thing...I've taken this on two scouting/small game trips already and can't imagine hunting without it.
