Keeps umbrella from tipping over in wind
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I chose this product because the bags are soft to allow it to mold to my umbrella stand and the handles make it easy to move around. The winds here can get pretty strong and so far the umbrella has not tipped over even with it open and angled to one side. The bags are very well constructed and work great!! Highly recommend.

Great sand bags
These are good looking bags. We purchased them to put on top of the base of our patio umbrella. They are sturdy, easy to fill with sand and easy to move about with the two cloth straps. Each holds 50 lbs of sand easily. I put an empty bag in a 5 gal. plastic bucket and used a large scoop to get the sand in. No mess. These are well made and should last for years.

These bags wirk!
The bags do their job well. The material is strong. However, one of the bags leaks sand so I don’t use it. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

Sandbag minus the sand, still great!
Doesn't come filed but overall a great product!

Handy, however fabric is discoloring
Using to anchor the base of my large outdoor umbrella down. Filled with sand. Serving its purpose, however Florida sun is starting to take a toll on the fabric, and it’s only been sitting outside for approximately 2 months.

Excellent Addition To Secure Umbrella
I purchased a 9-foot aluminum cantilever patio umbrella. Although the umbrella came with a base that you can fill with water or about 100 pounds of fine sand, I did not feel this would hold the umbrella in place during windy days. To ensure the umbrella did not tip over, I found the Basemate-brand waterproof weight bags to place on top of the weights with the umbrella. You can use sand to fill the bags, but I did not want the sand to leak out, so I purchased four Pea gravel bags from a home improvement store. Each bag held approximately 50 pounds of gravel. With the added gravel bags, the total weight holding down the umbrella is 300 pounds, which is the perfect weight to keep the umbrella in place.

Meets the need. Effective….
Well designed. Thick breathable fabric. Appearance far better than some other options and sized to enable you to move around as needed. Straps well attached and helpful in handling.I filled two with 50# sand each and two with 50# pea gravel. As photo shows, they work well to counterweight a 10’ x 13’ cantilever umbrella. Note, they can be positioned so they don’t obstruct access to the foot pedal latch on umbrella rotation.Others mentioned the openings leaking, I didn’t have that issue but could imagine some sand leakage at opening corners. In hindsight, all pea gravel would have been better.
