Balega Silver Compression Fit Performance No Show Athletic Running Socks (1 Pair)

I try to run 4 to 6 miles 4 times a week and I have tried the Balega Hidden Comfort and the Ultralight. The Ultralight is perfect as far as the light and running sock for possibly sprinting but unfortunately it might be a little too tight as far as fit goes on my toe. I usually run with Asics shoes and when I tried on the hidden comfort, it felt very cushioned on the bottom and very mesh and breathable in the top but however it was a little bit not snug enough for running sock. Possibly would be good for a tennis sock. I really enjoyed the silver because it's kind of in between as far as cushioning goes it's lots of cushioning on the bottom and the top where the ankle tab is is perfect and they also have a snug fit on the arch so it's the perfect balance of fit, snugness, very messy and breathable on the top and extremely soft and cushiony with the seamless toes. The cushioning is medium high and the fit is probably Medium as well. It is extremely well balanced for a running sock for Middle to long distance running and regulates hot and cold temperatures for my runs. Not to mention it's got that silver ion technology on the bottom so my feet never really smell ever. It also is not too heavy for a running sock. The color options they have available are very pretty too!!! My next favorite would definitely be the hidden comfort bc they are so comfortable!

When I finally accepted that the multipack socks sold in sporting good stores were not the quality that I need, I went looking for better socks for walking, hiking, and travel. Balega had excellent reviews, and were recommended by local runners. I tried a number of different models, and these fit my feet best and have a good medium level of cushioning. They offer all day comfort and no friction.There are three quirks about these socks that, to me, make them less than perfect. First, although they work very well and your feet feel dry, they do not dry quickly. When I was traveling and washed them in a sink, even after wringing out they took essentially two full days to dry. This is not ideal for me, since sometimes I only have one overnight to let them dry.Second, as other people have commented, there are a lot of loose strings inside the socks. I can't say for sure that this is a quality issue, but then again I've only had them for a few months. A cleaner finish on the material would be nice.Third, I don't like the little cuff on the back of the ankle. A less bulky heel would make sense to me.
