Stellar results
This formulation is the best one yet. I’ve been using Overtone faithfully for about a year. I always had to squeeze out a dollop & mix it with water to even get it onto my hair. This tube formula eliminates that step. I did initially try it as directed, & as usual that did virtually nothing, so I instead applied about a third of the tube to my dry hair & let it sit for about 10 mins, then washed out with my usual shampoo. Absolutely fantastic results. Made my grey hair sort of blend better into my auburn hair, without making it look unnatural. My hair is untreated & fine so your mileage may vary, but I will continue to get this version. I only do it about once a month, so if a tube lasts me 3 months, it’s already far less expensive than mixing semi permanent dyes.

AWESOME COLOR!
My hair desperately needs to be colored, but I'm waiting two more weeks before a special event. I bought this to see if it would help and it sure did! The dark purple color almost covered my greys, but gave the entire head a nice dark purple hue so that the grey roots were not nearly as obvious. I love the color so I just bought the hair mask to see what that does! Great color and keeps my hair healthy and soft.

This extends the color very well. I use it every day.
Overtone is still my favorite of the coloring conditioners out there. I have used their round tub to deposit color about every 3 weeks onto my light red hair (and now that I'm in my mid-50s, there's a lot of white in my hair, too). It fades a little with every wash (as do all of those non-harsh types of hair colorants), but it works better than all the rest. This bottle is what I use in the shower every day to keep that color going and it works really well and extends the color about twice as long. It doesn't give the big punch that the initial product gives, but it just enhances what is there. My only complaint is the bottle. It is so thick and rigid that it is really difficult to get the product out of it. The conditioner itself is also thick, so I feel like I'm going through gymnastics trying to shake the product down (after storing the bottle upside down all the time) to get it out of the bottle. My half-hearted solution is to put it into a silicone bottle (I actually use something called a FIFO - first-in-first-out condiment bottle for restaurants and I have to get in there with a chopstick to scrape a lot of the conditioner out and get it into a more usable bottle. Their little travel size is just about useless for exactly the same reason.I've tried some other purple coloring conditioners out there. Most of the others are thinner and easier to apply which is nice, but they don't seem to last quite as long as Overtone and none have this in-shower extender.

This Daily Conditioner made my hair fall out!
Please do not buy this product. I purchased the "daily conditioner" to add some "ginger" color to my hair after having a process done a few weeks before. I am not new to coloring my hair and have used Manic Panic and Arctic Fox as semi-permanent colors, as well as other color depositing conditioners. I also had platinum blonde hair for years which takes a toll on one's hair, but it never fell out. I had recently gone to a natural light brown color and wanted to add some ginger tones. I purchased the "daily conditioner" because I had read the other more semi-permanent ginger condition could turn one's hair orange. The first time I used it I left it on for 2 minutes and had a nice color result. I used it again a week or so later and left it on for 10 minutes. My hair was orange after using the "daily conditioner" the second time and chunks of my hair started to fall out. I have washed it several times since then and it is still orange, the color is not changing. And half of the hair in the lower back of my head has fallen out (see photo). I can no longer wear my hear down and have to pull it back in a tiny ponytail to hide the huge bald patch in the back of my head. I WISH I had NEVER used this product. Please be careful with this, even though it says it is a daily conditioner the color is hard to get out, and worse than that it can cause major hair loss. I am devastated. Here is an update: A week and a half after posting my original review and several weeks after using the daily conditioner, my hair is still orange. I also had to have my hair cut into a "pixie" cut to match all of the breakage in the back of my head. As you can see from the original photo that my hair was shoulder length, now it is about an inch and a half long in the longest parts. Overtone saw my original review and contacted me to offer a refund, which I accepted. When I went to the hair salon to get the "pixie" cut, which I did not want, one of they stylists overheard my story as I told it to my stylist, the other stylist asked what brand of daily color depositing conditioner I used and when I told her she shared a story with me about a client who had used the same product (different color) and came in to have it removed, but she was not able to remove it! She also shared that she had seen postings about Overtone using carpet dye in their conditioners. Anyhow, I hope people will learn from my cautionary tale. Now I have super short hair and had to pay $75 for the short cut that I never wanted!!! Will take 2 years to get back to my previous length. Posting pics of the pixie cut with my face hidden so people will know this is honest and real.Update 1 month later: My hair is still unapologetically orange after using the "daily conditioner" twice 5-7 weeks ago. See updated photo with the purple scarf with pixie cut which I had to do because this product made my shoulder length hair fall out!!! You can also see breakage at the top of my head where there are a few strands standing straight up an inch or so.Please do not use this product, look up The Better Business Bureau reviews for Overtone, the ginger color seems to be the main complaint for their colors, though there are others. I will continue to post hair updates on this sad hair loss journey, thanks to Overtone.

Affordable option for refreshing color
Keeps my color refreshed very well! Doesn’t work miracles but does a good job and a little goes a long way. I leave it on for 30~ minutes as a mask before I shampoo/condition. Pics below are before and after — originally colored with Pulp Riot Candy + Cleopatra.

Didn’t deposit color
A decent conditioner, but pastel purple does not deposit enough color. My hair is faded from a lavender color for context. It just made it more blue-gray. Kind of a waste of $18 if you ask me but my hair does feel good. I’m sure there are better depositing products out there but this would be fine to tone yellow hair.

Dont buy dye bye this
Omg now I wont have to buy any hair dye . Im 50 and im a real redhead but my hair turns blind or white becouse of stress I bought this hoping g to save my hair some damage, and it comes out a really pretty color and maybe a light Auburn, maybe a dark album, it's very beautiful copper. It's definitely a copper color smells minty. It goes on easy like a conditioner and then you just rinse it out and it works and so I would definitely buy this again

Exactly what I was looking for
This arrived on time and exactly as described by the seller. It is a wonderful way to keep my color looking fresh between trips to the salon. And there are so many different colors to choose from.
