Will this work with a bike helmet?

No, bike helmets are elongated/oval, while this product is designed to work with a nearly circular hard hat. This product can be jammed onto my bike helmet but it falls off extremely easily and can't hold up to any wind whatsoever. I made it work by punching a hole in the front brim, swaging in a grommet, and firmly tying it through the front air holes of the bike helmet with a shoelace. It wasn't pretty, but it held in place. I also bought Da Brim (not sold on Amazon) for 4-5x the cost and was extremely happy with it out of the box.

If the fabric does not have a SPF rating how does it protect the wearer from ultraviolet rays?

It blocks your skin from direct sunlight. Probably better than any sunscreen.

Is there any other color?

Not at this time. We only make it in the high visibility colors lime and orange. What color would you like to see?

So will this fit a Troxel equestrian helmet?

Not sure. Doesn’t fit my bike helmet
