I was hoping to get a processor with an Intel i7 processor, but with my budget in play, had to settle for the i5 processor on this laptop. After the fact, I cannot say 'I settled', because the processor in this laptop is much faster than I had anticipated. I mean the boot time is asymptotically i7 fantastic. At the timing of my purchase, I did not note the 'lie flat' feature of this laptop, a feature which given I primarily use the laptop with an external screen has come in really handy. Really nice feature. Highly recommend.

Got this awhile back. Will try to hit everything.Build quality is good. Even though it is totally made of plastic, it doesn't feel or look cheap. It does pick up fingerprints quite easily though. The blue color is gorgeous!Keyboard works well. Not a lot of travel to the keys, and it's not backlit, but it works well. Trackpad is plastic and can be temperamental if you have any kind of liquid on your fingers. Lots of useful shortcuts on the keyboard.Processor, which is the i5-1235u was actually nice. For the price, this machine is dang snappy! Running basic programs is a breeze and some lightweight gaming via Eternium and Legends of Runeterra was smooth and enjoyable.Built in webcam is nothing special but also not horrible.Battery life seems average though I must admit this mostly stays attached to the cord in my bedroom. Battery health is still at 98% after almost a year of ownership with it almost constantly plugged in.SSD is quick and it boots up fast. Was gonna expand the storage and RAM but one of the screws on the bottom casing just does not want to unscrew and might be tightened too much or I ended up stripping it. Not sure which it was.It's not super lightweight but it's not a behemoth. For the $400 I paid for it, can't really complain.Oh, but there is one complaint. The screen. Yes it's big and Full HD but unless you have it angled JUST right it can look rather washed out with poor contrast. At that perfect angle it does indeed look great though

I just bought this laptop and the first thing I noticed booting it up was that the screen was just awful. Washed out, too dark, and too bright all at the same time. I called asus to see if it’s defective and they told me if they receive it and they deem it not defective they’ll charge me for the inconvenience so I decided to just return it. If I moved my head a little to the side the screen would be unusable. Even if you look at it with the perfect angle you’ll see the colors completely washed out. Just awful

I’m really happy with the choice. I already own two other laptops, but I needed a Windows device for a specific program I’m using at university, and this has been perfect. The 14” screen size is just right for something you’ll carry everywhere – big enough to work comfortably but compact enough to fit easily in a backpack. Plus, it’s light, which makes it convenient to carry around.For those wondering, it uses an NVMe SSD, but there’s no extra port for adding another SSD, so keep that in mind if you need additional storage later. I’ve added a picture with a water bottle next to the laptop so you can get a sense of the size. All in all, this laptop has been great, and I’m very satisfied with it!

Starting with my negative because the rest is all great. The speakers. When the laptop first arrived I had read all this stuff about the great speakers and they did sound great. Until I had the laptop for a couple months. Now I can hardly stand the rattly sound that comes out when I play videos. Thankfully I use headphones most of the time, but sometimes you want to watch a quick video without hooking up headphones. I didn't blare any music or drop my laptop or anything either so it's incredibly frustrating that it seemingly just broke out of nowhere.The actual functionality of this laptop is great. Compared to my old one that ran like a snail this works incredibly fast. The number pad being on the mouse pad is really neat. I use it occasionally. It took me a while to stop accidentally pulling up the calculator because that's right where my palm would hit on the mouse pad when I was just typing.I use this laptop everyday. I'm a social media manager and can get everything done I need to with this laptop!

This meets my needs for being just the right size and perfect for starting school again. I was looking for something more compact without being basically a tablet size and this works perfect! Super lightweight too for anyone who trucks around additional books and supplies.
