One of the best beginner/backup kits I have ever seen and played.
I've been on the fence about buying one of these guitar "kits" for the past year or so and this one won me over due to its not a "strat" style and Pyle is a reputable company (speakers were great in the 80s and 90s). Those are a dime a dozen. I won't lie, I didn't expect much for the price point ($189) but I knew I could just sell it if it was not so great. Mind you, I have been playing for about 40 years (have also been an instructor) and have owned every kind of guitar you can think of from bargain bin specials to $3000+ Iban... JS/J Customs. I abbreviated so Amazon doesn't flag my review for promoting other companies.I was surprised by this guitar and what it came with. You can jam right out of the box. The guitar is lightweight (about a Ibby S series) but doesn't feel cheap. The curves are nicely rounded. Fret board feels nice and very well made. The frets don't have any sharp edges. The headstock has an Ibby look to it and tuners are nice and solid. The finish is absolutely gorgeous. The transparent blue changes hue ever so slightly depending on how light hits it. The action is just right and within a few minutes of some adjusting, I was rocking \m/. There is very little neck buzz but that can be eliminated. With any guitar, breaking it in will fine tune everythingm. It does have a floating bridge and I was shocked when I played with the wammy, it didnt lose tune. Not bad for a cheaper guitar. The amp is very well made and can really throw out some sound. I barely had it up and I felt like I was disturbing the neighbors. Pyle has been around for many years so they know a thing or two about sound. Its has your usual controls (volume, tone, gain, overdrive etc..).It also came with a strap, clip on tuner, extra strings and another e string (good thinking, Pyle), hex keys for bridge and truss rod, cable, picks, a gig bag (not pictured), and 2 months of free online guitar lessons. Not bad at all. Again, I was shocked at the quality and ease of playing this guitar. I would definitely recommend for a beginner to intermediate players or just a backup to shread on. There are a few cons but not many. The "quilted" top is definitely not maple. It looks more like a printout and it was laminated to the wood. Honestly, they should have kept the natural look of the wood but no biggie. You will need to adjust a few things to get started. The volume pot was super lose out of the box. Amp is very small and you can see from the pics I added. Just dont expects something of decen size. But, it does sound good....just dont push it too hard. Gig bag is cheap and the strap...ehhh, I recommend buying a better one. It just feels like it may break easily. Other than that, its a great package!

A-MA-ZING Value!!!
What an amazing value! Bought this for our 10 year old. I am a professional musician who makes a living with music - both gigging and teaching, and I can tell you that this package is a steal. The guitar looks great. It has a dual-humbucker pickup config, which is unparalleled at this price point. Like any guitar out of the box, you’ll want to get it set up and slap some new strings on it eventually, but it comes pre-stringed with a.backup set for string breaks. A setup involves taking it (or doing it yourself if you are a guitar tech) to a tech, having him file the frets down, adjusting the neck (needs to be done to every guitar no matter how expensive) and setting the action (how high the strings are off the neck). Once that is done, in the hands of a good tech, this thing will play like butter.I was equally surprised by the quality of the amp. Both the clean and distorted channel have a great tone for an amp of this size. It feels and sounds like a solid little practice amp and is perfect for a starter. The headphone jack is great for isolation and the single lo-high tone control is a decent little tone shaper. You can get anything from sparkle-clean tone to a slightly dirty blues tone (set the humbucker on the middle switch and put a little gain on the distorted channel), to a AC/DC type crunch to a full-on metal distorted tone. Very versatile.I shopped a great deal and had a specific budget to work with, and this guitar package, by far was the best value based on the 25 or so I evaluated from different manufacturers. Keep in mind this is also coming from someone puts food on the table playing guitar. Great deal!!!

Great starter guitar.
I really like my new Pyle electric guitar kit. It came with everything I needed to get started as a beginner. The guitar feels solid, not cheap. I was afraid with the low price that it would be a toy or not durable, but since it arrived, all fears have subsided. The amp is very small but is actually pretty powerful for the size. Its perfect for me since I don't want to disturb my entire house as I find my way to being a real guitar player. My only complaint is the strap that comes with it. It is very thin where it connects to the guitar and I'm afraid it may snap, so I bought my own strap. Other than that, everything else is great.

impressive for the price
For a Pyle guitar kit this is pretty good, even my cousin loved it and he has Fender and Gibson, played just as good

Good kit for such a reasonable price.
The media could not be loaded. Been messing with this for a couple of weeks now. Came well packaged with picks, straps, extra strings, etc. Wanted a guitar I could leave out and not worry about my kids damaging my expensive guitars. If I put them away, I tend to never play them as you can tell by my lack of skills. Anyways, tuned up and stretched out the strings a few times. Has held tuning well. The frets smoothed out after playing for a bit and now bends and vibrato feel good. There were no sharp fret ends either. Neck was straight. Only made small adjustment to action on low E string and that got rid of the fret buzz. Also adjusted the pickups closer to the strings. Volume and tone knobs are smooth and work well as does the pickup selector switch. The amp is small but perfect for practicing. It only lacks a bit of bottom end/base but that would be the same with any amp of this size. It still gets much louder than most will ever need as a practice amp. There is a clean and distortion channel and the tone/gain knob gives more versatility. Overall I’m surprised such a nice kit can’t be had for such a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend it. You can spend hours messing with the amp and guitar to get different tones but I don’t have that kind of time. I tried to show just a couple of sounds in my video.....not demonstrate my skills, because I have none.
