I began buying Z bats a few months ago when my daughter came home from school asking to get them for her lunches. Without ever trying one myself, I ordered a box and began packing them in her lunches. After the first day, the “can I have two Z bars in my lunch?” question started, repeated almost every night (the answer was no, she could have one). On the weekends, we began getting the “can I have another one?” question on repeat (the answer was usually no but on rare occasion, she would have another). After a few weeks, she asked to use her own money at the grocery store to buy a box so she could “eat as many as she wants, whenever she wants” (I swear we feed her). Finally, several weeks after all this began, I decided to try a Z bar… which was quickly followed by eating a second. Holy shizzzu, why had I never tried these before? What sorcery created these tastey treats? I swear I could eat a whole box in record time. “SEE?!” my daughter exclaimed when I apologized to her and said I understand now. Convenient, great ingredients, delicious, borderline addictive. Z bars are a fan favorite in our household.

These are the perfect grab-and-go snacks when I need something quick and satisfying. The flavor is delicious — just the right amount of sweetness without being overpowering. These are a staple snack at our house. They are tasty and filling, and both kids and adults enjoy them at our house.They have a decent amount of protein, which makes them a good snack since they'll tide you over for a bit. They're sweet, but not overly sweet. I generally throw them into my bag when I'm headed out with the kids. My kids also keep one in their backpacks incase they need a little extra food at school.

They can be a healthier alternative to some others but in truth not as healthy as the best options out there. Overall they are pretty good but in truth they really do not taste much like oats or chocolate. The figs on the other hand are fairly pronounced but not unpleasant and there is another taste which I assume may be one of the syrups used for sweetening. So overall they are ok, not great, but more healthy than a candy bar!
