Can these be used with any kitchen cupboards or with specific sizes only?

i used these on a over appliance cupboard where door lifts up and they worked fine.I would think these would be ok for any cupboard.

The arms are staying stiff and now my cupboard is unable to close. Any tips on how to release some gas so the suspension can work ??

The 100N struts should start to yield when subjected to about 10kg force. You can test this by hand pressing on one end , the other resting on a solid surface. If that is the case then your assembly geometry, position of the ends on door and frame are probably wrong. Alternatively the wrong struts have been furnished.

Do the struts easily pop off if you want to remove them? Eg. To get the cabinet to open at a larger angle than the strut permits?

Not easy but can be done, the socket must be symmetrically pried off off. Best to prop up the flap sufficiently to fully extend the strut.
