Impressive Soundbar with Outstanding Features at a Great Price
I’m highly impressed with this product. It features a high-quality build in a compact, sleek design that looks and feels premium. The 5.1 surround sound with Dolby Atmos delivers an immersive audio experience. Setup was straightforward, and the subwoofer -powered separately - connects seamlessly to the soundbar via a wireless connection. The bass is deep and punchy, while the dialogue remains crystal clear. Considering all these premium features, the price is truly remarkable. I'm extremely satisfied and would definitely recommend it to others.

Excellent sound and value for money
I got this to replace an old Sony DAVS550 which in its day (25 years ago) was a top piece of kit!. Sadly it was showing its age and kept cutting out. Nowadays I cannot afford to spend what was effectively half a months wages on a surround system so needed something that was reasonably priced. I was prepared to settle for sound that was not as good as I was used to. WOW was I wrong. This is a doddle to set up and connected right away with my Samsung tv and I can use the tv remote to adjust the volume. The soundbar is a neat size and there are no annoying lights on during use. The subwoofer is connected wireless to the soundbar and the two rear speakers are wired to that - no more trailing cables along the room. Switched it on, chose the sound set up I liked and whacked the volume up on Lord of the Rings. Dialogue was crisp and clear with just enough powerful bass to make you feel as if you were among the orc army. A truly cinematic experience. Either technology has come an awful long way or this company just simply know what they are doing!! Can you get better systems? Probably but I doubt it at this price point. It is plenty good enough for me and my slightly deaf musical husband who insisted on playing his latest studio tracks and was suitably impressed.

Pretty good for the price
I've been wanting to replace my old Panasonic surround for a while as it had a very noticeable delay when decoding Dolby Digital from the TV when showing HD content. This syncs nicely whether the source is linear PCM or Dolby Digital. The front sound bar is quite narrow so I was a bit sceptical about how much stereo separation there would be from the front, but I needn't have worried, it sounds just fine. The sub and the satellite speakers connected without problem. The bass is reasonably restrained, but that's how I like it.The overall sound was a bit harsh when I first switched it on, but it has different EQ settings and I found one that suited me. I tried to see how loud it would go, but only got half way up before deciding not to annoy the neighbours any further!I doubt it could compete with more expensive surround systems, but it's more than fine at this price point.Update: I have discovered that when being fed with a stereo source, over ARC, that has total silence for longer than a couple of seconds then the audio is muted and when the sound restarts it takes a moment for the sound to restart, which happens a lot when there is only speech which gets annoying quickly. In case it was my TV I connected to a different one and observed the same behaviour. I've contacted Ultimea support about this issue and they are being quite responsive, so hopefully this can be resolved.

Impressive for the price
For what you pay (£169.99 at the time I purchased), it is fantastic value for money.Whilst I’m no audiophile, I can tell the sound quality isn’t perfect, but compared to TV speakers the difference is night and day. Even if this was just a 2.1 system it would be decent value for money at £169.99, but the fact you get a dedicated rear speakers at this price point was the main selling point for me.You’d have to spend twice as much on any of the big brands to get a better experience then this, and even then the difference would be marginal.Connection over ARC works well for 5.1 content, and if I am not mistaken, the system can convert stereo audio on the fly for an approximation of 5.1, separating speech and music well, which adds to the immersion of content like sports with the crowd noise behind you.The equaliser settings aren’t the best, but I do like the adjustment options for bass and surround. I’d perhaps knock half a star off for this and the fact that the speakers can become a little bit tinny at high volume, but I’d still recommend this to anyone wanting an upgrade on their TV speakers.

Bass orientated.
If you play music from your TV or phone connected by bluetooth, then this does a decent job. With the emphasis on bass, the sub can hit very high levels of bass if needed. However as a TV soundbar that needs the clarity of dialogue and clean sound effects more than massive explosive bass, then for me it was a dissapointment.I updated the firmware to a newer version that allowed the bass to be curtailed somewhat and this helped, but the underlying impresion for me is that the clarity in dialogue and overall soundscape in movies is just not quite good enough,no matter what Eq setting i used. There seems to be a reverb of voices coming from the sub, especially when a deeper voiced male speaks. The bar did pick up Atmos and Dolby surround when it was available, the led display displaying this just briefly and the rear speakers did their job.It switched off when the TV was switched off when using the Earc connection as it should, then came back on when the TV was on.Volume control through the TV remote worked ok.Even though the make Ultimea was not recognised by my Toshiba fire tv.Build quality is good and all the cables are included.A decent bar,but just didn`t suit my listening needs.
