The epic Predator legacy continues with this action-thriller set in the Comanche Nation. When Naru, a fierce and highly skilled young warrior, sets out to protect her people, the prey she stalks turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator â leading to a vicious and terrifying showdown.

Much better than I expected
The 4k version of this film is excellent. It was shot in a beautiful expansive environment and this high quality transfer certainly brings it to life. While it does not mention Predator in the title it is part of this world, and is a great addition to the series. While the scenario of a slight teenage girl successfully taking on an 8ft tall alien has to be taken with a pinch of salt, it is just a really entertaining film which, with a runtime of 100 minutes, feels about right. I found it to be an enjoyable, if surprisingly graphic, movie that I can recommend to all fans of the franchise.

PREY BLURAY 2023
Bought on a whim after reading reviews here on Amazon. You have a fascinating choice of viewings - If you want to you can access the Comanche Audio track, and you get a lot of intereting extras. When the film started I felt I was in for a fascinating viewing experience. Something completely different, and what's more, interesting. Sadly I am sorry to say that a bit of boredom set in as our warrior's quest seemed to be going nowhere. Then towards the final 40 mins or so it leapt to a rather unpleasant set of sequences with French trappers - and then the final face off with the title creature. It was here that I lost the plot completley. I won't explain why (Spoilers - I don't do, but...young female "warrior" and very very big, nasty "Predator"?) However, the locations are excellent, the casting very unusual - apart from the trappers they all appear to be native Americans. The lead puzzled me a bit - AMBER MIDTHUNDER - looked 14, actually was 25! How old is the character meant to be? Never explained and therefore some logic in the action scenes went out the window. Sometimes very graphic and violent this is an unusual film and well worth seeing, and remember....my opinions are just that, not facts. You should see this and judge for yourself. (Subtitles very good - Comanche, French and English - Like I said, a fascinating unusual film!)

Outstanding film
This is an excellent prequel to the other Predator films. I love that it is set a few years after the Shoshone-Comanche split with the Comanche drifting southerly but still in mountainous terrain. Amber Midthunder is more than up to the role and none of the other cast fall short. I watch it with the Comanche soundtrack, sometimes with English subtitles, sometimes not; try it without subtitles, it'll make you concentrate more on the film and give your cerebral connections a boost. My only issue with this release is that there is not a Comanche subtitle track. I look forward to the seque. Ura to the Numunuh producer.

Great movie, great 4k transfer
Interesting different take on the Predator series, this time set in the past. Great lo9ing and sounding transfer on the disc. A perfect addition to any fan of the franchise.

Good and less crass than some of the previous Predator series
More subdued and longer buildup; nicely filmed in US countryside set in 1700 which one can enjoy. Good acting even if the initial formula of aliens + American Indians (like a previous old D.Craig offering "Cowboys. and Aliens.." which was also good!) seemed a bit dubious even for scifi but the film comes off well...more nature and less alien. The best in the Predator series is easily the first set in Antarctica. This is worth watching at a price that is not overly high (amazon had a under 10 pound deal).
