Fits like a glove!
Okay, so it doesn't come with screws - SO WHAT??? A 30 second google search reveals that the Dewalt DW734 planer screw size is M4 0.7 x 8. Picked up a little pack of 4 at Home Depot for 75 cents.Trial test gave me confidence enough to move my planer down to complete my little basement woodshop - so nice to be able to plane indoors now!!!

I really needed this!
I have an older model DeWalt planer that I inherited and didn't have any dust collection at all. I have bags full of shavings that I swept up off of my shop floor.I was so excited when I found this item!It attached to my planer with no problem and works great! Now all of the shavings go into my dust collector and not on my floor.Highly recommended!

It is a perfect fit for my planer.
Mounts easily and dose the job. It also can be pulled off for more cleaning very quickly.

Fits DW733
I bought it for my old DW733 and it fits easily. A couple of points: it's plastic not metal so I'm very careful putting a 4" hose on it; don't want it to crack. Yes, there are no screws to attach it but I tipped over that big coffee can of screws we all have, rummaged through my collection, and found three very small mismatched screws (don't ask me what size/thread) and it went on easily. Most importantly, it works! I planed a bunch of boards right after I got it and there are no chips/dust on the floor. (My only complaint is that I wish it didn't cost $30.)

Works great!
It was very simple to install, just a couple screws, and it fits right on. It allows my dust collector to now extract about 98% of the chips produced by the planer. No more having to sweep up and vacuum after every planing job. A few still come out the feed side, but not enough to bother sweeping even. The planer should have come with one of these, and maybe the new ones do, since this is an old planer.

Factory fit for DW734
Identical to the one that came with the planer in the first place, except that it doesn't have the shopvac reducer, nor did it claim to in the product description. However, whether it seems like it or not, the reducer on the old one WILL come off and fit the new hood perfectly so if it resists, continue to try to persuade it. CAREFULLY work around the edge with a screwdriver, and it'll loosen. The hood doesn't come with screws (again, nor does it claim to) so be careful to hang on to the existing ones. Finally, while you're messing around back there it presents an opportunity to replace the blades. I ordered some at the same time and it worked out great.
