Great gift for my book-ish girlfriend
Absolutely loved building this with my girlfriend. Super easy to build whilst still being challenging enough to be fun. Build quality is great, shame the glue isn't supplied but it's so beautiful when built that it's easy to ignore that.

A beautiful kit, worthy of the price and the time!
A little sceptical, as had seen these advertised on Facebook, but I'm glad I took the risk! The kit is beautifully and logically organised, and of a very good quality. To start with, it seems like making the books up will take forever, but once past that phase, the real fun begins! All in all, it took me about 3½ hours to complete, and it is well worthy of that time. The attention to detail is incredible. The motion sensor on the front is a thoughtful touch. Some of the more intricate parts can be difficult to remove, so care should be taken. Also, one of the lights was not working, but it doesn't seem to detract from the overall result.I used PVA glue for the majority of the build, and super glue for more structural parts.I love this! It'll sit proudly in my book case, and I doubt it will be long before it's joined by another.

Lots of fun building.
My wife bought me this for Christmas. I thoroughly enjoyed building it. Unfortunately, the pir sensor was faulty but they sent out a replacement part in good time.

Stay true to your shelf
First time I tried one of these 'book nooks' and it was great fun to make.I looked at similar products before buying and this one seemed to be a knock off version of one by Anavrin but at a much cheaper price, so wasn't expecting the best quality but was pleasantly surprised. Each piece was laser cut and painted where necessary and slotted together perfectly. Top tip - use a craft knife to cut the joints on each piece instead of pushing them out. I didn't have a single broken piece using this method. Also check that the lights work before doing anything else. Some of the steps were quite fiddly to do so it's certainly not suitable for young children or those with frail hands. Glue is not included (every piece has to be glued together) but a tube of glue isn't very expensive. I bought an 80ml tube of silicone glue which was more than enough and stuck everything together very well. The instructions were easy to follow and it's a nice little project to do, which results in a worthy addition to any book shelf.

Well designed for straightforward build, without being so simple it's boring!
This was a really fun kit to make. A couple of pieces were exceptionally fragile - the 2 quills and the hanging light (not the candelabra) - and snapped. Wood glue was able to mend them, and I used some dimensional magic (resin-like stuff) to strrengthen them and give a bit of glass bottle-like shine in the process. I used a piece of thread on the back of the light to keep it in place while the glue dried.Almost everything fits together really snugly, with very few gaps. A few bits needed more care to ensure that they stayed in place while they were dried, but overall the instructions were logically ordered and very clear. All in all.a very satisfying piece to build, and I'd happily do another one!
