Fantastic
This was a great help for my after total knee replacement! I highly recommend it. I put it on myself.

Mom loves it
Ordered for my 90 year old mother after she had surgery. So far she is thrilled with this toilet seat riser. I hope she will be able to use it for quite some time.

Solid product. Needs sealant to keep from sliding around.
Good solid product which I would buy again. If you purchase be sure to get a product to glue the seat to the commode or it will slide around. I use alien tape which is 2 sided. A silicone sealant would also work...

Great seat
This is a great raised toilet seat. It was very easy to install, with good instructions. It's very secure, which makes me wonder about some negative reviews to the contrary. It was most likely human error. I recommend using a screw gun to tighten the bolts. I highly recommend this product.

Poor design, hard to install, not secure, might be a fall risk.
Rarely to I give 1 star reviews. I often just return poor products, get a refund and move on. In this case with the nature of the use, guess we will keep it.1. The attachment hardware contains washers that are too small for the forward backward positioning slot opening in the seat. Problem here is that they end up going in at an angle.2. The wider plastic washer also is too small for slot but I expect it was for under the toilet. Problem here is that there are newer better parts for the under part of ceramic toiled that come with seats event form Walmart. They snug up into the opening and damage nothing.3. The wing nuts for the under toilet seat cannot be turned all the way as they eventually hit the side of the bowl and cannot be turned. This could be depending on the bowl design but again see #2 as a manufacture like this should be aware of better parts. Bottom line is seat would never be tight.4. I used the better connectors from the regular seat we had to take off and we bought from Walmart. Their threads worked with the bolt supplied.5. To tighten down, you had to have the washer either at one end or the other end of the forward back positioning slot to prevent it tilting into the slot. So if your best position was anywhere but those two locations it would not work unless you found better washers. Even at that you would find it hard to keep the bolts at those positions as you locked it down.6. The head of the bolts and washer are on the seat surface so expect bolt marks in your behind. The seat should have a recess for them and a cover.7. The height is not much more than a good padded seat but is higher.8. Seat is not soft but that seems to be the standard.9. There is no lid. Expect your dog drinking it.10. Cleaning it is ok, but to clean between it and the top of the toilet seat is going to be a big job because you will have to unbolt it. Mold will build in that crack. Again there are easy to lock and unlock mechanisms for seats and the mfg should use them.11. Handles are strong but have no adjustable levels. For the price, this is a gross overcharge and the product is not something of quality to expect from a brand name. I suspect that what is offered here was a fully packaged manufacturing batch that had wrong hardware and it was pawned off to another distribution channel or vendor to get rid of it.

Great quality…if it fits your toilet
First let me say, I’m a home health/hospice nurse so I am very familiar with medical equipment and have ordered and installed two of these for clients. Let’s start with the good qualities…the raised toilet seat is well made, the rubber around the arm rests lasts and is very durable, the height is perfect & there are no sharp edges/quality issues. However, both raised toilet seats fit poorly and didn’t feel “tight” when using as a point of contact while moving to the seated position which is the most important and of highest concern. Another concern was that both raised toilet seats didn’t allow the normal seat to rest on it correctly and both clients ended up using the raised toilet seat without a toilet seat on it due to fear of falling because it was so loose feeling. Finally, one of the raised toilet seats required additional bolts to mount to the toilet because the provided bolts didn’t fit correctly. Although the quality of this raised toilet seat is good I wouldn’t recommend it due to it being poor fitting.

Perfect height raised toilet seat for shorter individuals
I bought this for my 84 y.o. Mom. She needed a raised toilet seat with grab bars to make it easier for her to sit down and get up from the toilet. It was easy to install and is stable. The only challenge was that the toilet seat connects via round screws. I've learned that most newer toilet seats connect with square screws. Long story short... we searched Ace Hardware, Home Depot, and eventually Lowe's before we found a toilet seat that connects via round screws and is thus capatible with the raised seat.We bought this model because it allows you to connect your own toilet seat and lid. Many raised toilet seats do not accommodate a lid. This one does, which is a major plus.General advice for buying a raised toilet seat. Be sure that the individual's feet touch the ground when sitting on the raised seat. Seats are available in 3.5 ,4, or 5 inches. For reference - My Mom is 5'5" and the height of this seat is perfect for her. We initially tried a 5 inch raised toilet seat and it was too tall for her (feet didn't touch the ground).
