I ordered acer 7-in-1 USB C hub after reading the reviews and comparing different products. Part of my decision is due to acer being a big brand, and I don't want to spend my money on less known and less reliable brands.This has been purchased mainly to connect my WD Hard Drive disk to a Macbook Pro with only USB C ports, but it has many more functions including HDMI, (micro)SD and charging. I have checked all these which all seem to work fine. I read some 1 star comments saying that the item does not work, but tend to agree with others that maybe in these cases the product has not been used correctly. I have achieved very reasonable speed with this hub, not only when transferring data from my laptop to USBs, but also between different USBs, and between a USB and a SD card.The item itself is quite sturdy and its colour matches perfect to that of my Macbook. It is a bit thicker than what I expected from the pictures, but that is not a big issue. Would've been better if there is a case or bag for it, as I am worried that the cable may wear and eventually break if it is put in my bag daily.It does get quite warm after a while, but not hot.Will see how long it lasts :-)

Before purchasing this I did a bit of research and noticed that lots of this type of dock tends to suffer very similar problems. One product however seemed to avoid this issue and that was this Acer dock.Having purchased it I have to say I am extremely happy. When I opened the box my immediate impression was that this is a quality product. Even though it is quite slim it still manages to retains a nice "weight". When handled it gives the perception of being solid and well built. For example, the cable is not thin and the plastic feels strong.I am using on my MacBook Air and have no problems using any of the ports.All-in-all, this is a great dock and lives up to the Acer branding it carries.

I use a macbook that only has a USB-c port. This is very handy for plugging everything else in that I sometimes need. It works well.

This worked for three days and then failed. It promised to be the answer to my connectivity when needing to expand my MacBook ports but failed dismally. Spend more money on a quality product and avoid this - cheap is not economical. And because I bought it a month before I needed it, I was unable to claim back from the manufacturer.

Compact adapter that helps extend the ports/connections available on my laptop.The full size SD card slot isn't very deep and the card sticks out more than i imagined-however i just slipped the micro sd out of the SD card and placed it in the micro SD slot and it is more discreet.Seems to be a well built piece of kit and appears to be made strong and robust.
