Coleman Woodsman II Folding Outdoor Chair, Lightweight & Portable Chair Supports up to 225lbs, Great for Camping, Tailgating, Fishing, Hunting, Sporting Events, & More

I searched lots of stores looking for a small, light, comfortable chair I could use on my very small front porch. This chair arrived yesterday (very fast service), I used it until mosquitos drove me back inside, and found it to be PERFECT for my needs in every way.My 5’7” husband tried it and found it comfortable if he sat without leaning back. He felt it was sturdy.Overall impressions of this Coleman Rambler II chair:PROS: easy to set up, solid, stable, super portable and incredibly light, takes up little space and easy to store, nice neutral color.CONS: Altho rated for 225lbs, I don’t think someone that size would be comfortable for long. Seat is shallow and narrow. Seatback slants back to that comparable to a beach lounger and is not adjustable, but it works for me perfectly because I lounge on it with my dog on my lap.Conclusion: If you need non-cumbersome portability and a short-term rest station, this chair is ideal. But if you want to spend an afternoon picnic sitting on it, you’d probably want to reconsider something larger with a more supportive back. My favorite “movie-watching” chair is a child Poang Chair, just to keep my 5-Star rating in perspective. Caution: it’s tempting to think this tiny foldup chair would be fun for the kids, but I would not let younger children play on it unsupervised.As for the Rambler II stool – I found it’s a super gardening rest stop, and a perfect porch table for a citronella candle. In short – I rate it a 5, too, because it’s multi-functional, portable and storeable. Jury’s still out on durable because I haven’t used it long, but so far seems tough enuf.

My pickleball team purchased 6 or so various retractable Stools - the ones that collapse into what looks like 2 frisbies. Very cool and light, the problem being literally every one of these broke/collapsed into several pieces rendering them useless. Thank goodness for Amazon a quick return brought me to this Coleman chair. We needed our own chair because of the pandemic. This folding chair is at least 30% smaller & much lighter tham your average beach chair and is just high enough to make it comfortable in between games. It folds twice where I clip it onto my pickleball/tennis bag and makes it easy to sling over my shoulder. It feels very sturdy and is unobtrusive on the court

I like the chair. I have another that I lost the back for. The reason for four stars is the chair weighed about 2 lbs 12oz by my scale. That is a pound heavier than advertised. Sill fairly light. I like the back rest, but it is back a ways for normal sitting. As another review said needs something behind to prop you up a little. I wanted it because it does not have the support at the bottom of the legs like a lot of them do. The support is good for making the chair sturdier. The problem is that they don't fit around my pack nicely. This one not perfect, but it works for me.

This chair is great for backpackers or bank fishermen. Way better than the little 3-leg sling chairs, which I've tried to use backpacking...I hate those things and would just as soon sit on a log. I'm almost 70, 190lbs with arthritis and every type of joint pain...and it's pretty comfortable to me, compared to standing on the bank fishing for hours. The chair back is great. I was actually able to doze off yesterday while waiting for a bass to bite. But then, that's an art learned over a lifetime; don't try it.Don't pay attention to bad reviews. The ones I read are just ridiculous...trying to use this little chair for playing instruments or lounging while glamping. You'll notice the name of the chair is 'Woodman'. That, and my eyes, tell me it is strictly for times when you just need a minimalistic seat. Like I said before...way better than standing on a lake bank for hours; or one of those awful tripod backpack seats.Rig up a strap and carry this cool chair anywhere.

Good quality and seem to hold up well. I use it mostly for hunting because they are light weight and easy to carry.

The best thing about this chair is that it is incredibly light, though a small shoulder carrying strap would still have been nice. But the comfort level is minimal. I'm a skinny guy, and my derriere barely fits on it. Anyone with an even moderately wide back end would hang off the sides. The worst aspect is that the metal bar that goes across the front digs into the bottom of my thighs just enough to be annoying. I can handle it for a while, but eventually it becomes too much to endure. Finally, at least for me, the 'back rest' might as well not even be there. It is far back and low, so you have to lean back so far to feel it that it feels like you are going to topple over backwards. This chair is probably perfect for a child, and if you are an adult it is good if you carry it a lot but don't sit for long. It's cheap and light, and feels like it.

These portable folding chairs are sturdy and very lightweight.. they made a huge difference when they say bring your own chair. I love them.. I bought 2 and they are very decently priced.. they fold up really well.. they weigh nearly nothing.. perfect size and they can support 300 pounds because a friend tried it out and they were around that weight and it worked great for them! I am 182 female and it works well for me too!

This is my second chair. First one lasted more then 10 years and would have lasted longer but a 300 pound plus lady sat in it and damaged it. I weigh 190. It straps easily onto a back pack or rucksack. What a blessing to have in a camp if you are over 55. I am 79 and I night fish for brown trout. I sit in the chair along the creek and oft fish from the chair. Other small folding chairs on market....but....do they have a back rest?? Well constructed. I sprayed all metal and folding slots with WD-40. Lovely. Just a lovely chair for the outdoors person; sports, camping, fishing, hunting.
