Was not expecting monitor bliss at this price, but I am pleasantly surprised!
Set up my monitors yesterday and didn't really get to use them. But when I started to work this morning I was blown away at how awesome the display is on these two monitors!I want to RAVE about the gorgeous DISPLAYS!!!! I do graphic design (for web site development, book illustrations, and iOS apps) and had not realized just how poor the focus was on my old Acer monitors... These ViewSonics are so crisp and clear, I am absolutely LOVING them! And the full widescreen is really nice.While I will agree with the other reviewers that the stands are flimsy (they sure went together fast, though!), my desk is extremely sturdy and the only thing that will be touching the monitors is a nosy cat. However, like other reviewers, I hadn't noticed the screws to secure the bases, so will be doing that today and see if it makes them more stable.Some have complained about the height not being adjustable, but I'm rather short (5'5"), so they are just about perfect for me. And my 6'5" teenage son likes to lounge in his chair, so they'd be the right height for him too, but a normal adult sitting at a desk might find the height uncomfortable.However, they do tilt nicely, and it only takes a moment to adjust the pair of monitors to the same tilt/angle so everything lines up perfectly. Also, I have a surround-sound-style speaker setup, so I can't comment on the speakers since I didn't bother plugging in the speaker cords (plus I have 2 monitors, 1 sound port... you do the math).Overall I am HIGHLY satisfied with the QUALITY and CLARITY of this display, especially at a great price and free 2-day shipping with Amazon Prime (LOOOOVE that!)!In fact, I am so impressed with these monitors I ALMOST feel guilty about handing-down my older pair of Acer 21" monitors to my 16 y/o son. But I worked with them quite contentedly for about 2 years without realizing just how much I'd been missing... He'll live. Or he can save his money and buy his own ViewSonics! ;)P.S.As an example of the kind of work I do, you can see my book here on Amazon for the Kindle: Halloween Parade - a Rhyming Alphabet Children's Book. (You can just use the "Look Inside" feature.)

ViewSonic VA2246M-LED 22-Inch Screen LED-Lit Monitor: painless plug-n-play install, great resolution, easy on the eyes
The title says it all, a painless install... just hook it up to your PC, system recognized it immediately and there was no need for the included software cd. Screen is easy to read, great color and resolution. Also seems to run cool, probably due to LED backlighting.This is my 2nd Veiwsonic, am beginning to be impressed with this brand.Recommended.Update 11/2015: I use this as a monitor (vs TV screen) daily and find it dependable, crisp and sharp, always nice and bright. I also noted, after a recent change to a new DVI adapter, that when scrolling the text definitely turns blue -- just while scrolling, and then returns to normal. My other Viewsonic DVI monitors do not exhibit this with the new adapter. Not a biggie, this 24" screen is still worth the money, I can live with minor anomalies.

Decent image quality for low priced monitor; Speakers OK for minimal sound; Stand poor;
I wanted a cheap DVI/VGA monitor with speakers to connect to a laptop docking station. I didn't want to listen to music or watch movies - just an occasional how-to video with someone speaking and similar stuff where sound quality isn't important. I didn't want a pair of external speakers taking up desk space.For image quality, I think this $75 monitor is very good for the price. For sound quality, its OK for me but would not be for watching movies or listening to music - but I have other devices for those things.My previous version of this monitor lasted from 2006 thru 2018 and still sort of works. So I decided to give ViewSonic another try. Its only been a few days but all is well.I downloaded drivers for Win7 32 bit from the ViewSonic web site and they installed without problem.So for my purpose (speadsheet, occasional Gimp photo editing, etc) this monitor works well.The drawback: its stand holds the monitor in a low position and is not adjustable - mine is currently on a 3" thick book. It also slants forward a little - I have it propped up with a little wedge. I think an adjustable stand monitor would be a little better but I don't use the attached computer much and traded convenience for price. There is a VESA mount capability so it could go on an adjustible VESA stand if I wanted to invest a few more dollars.
