I bought this perimeter trip alarm to enhance security around my campsite, and it works exactly as I'd hoped. It works. BE SAFE, BE SMART!!! Always make sure you anchor it securely . I strongly recommend using wood screws and make sure your mounting surface , the wood post or tree, is no rotten.

Pulling the pin is so stiff, an animal would have to get tangled in it to actually pull the pin in most cases. It requires a 4 or 5 pound pull to slip the pin. It would be better if I oiled it, but it too tight.

Used to keep deer out of the garden. Bought shotgun popper shells and this works to scare the deer out of the garden, without hurting them.

Ok after useing for over a month I must give a bad review as its works sometimes the fireing pin has a small grove just above the retainer pin that can and in my case does catch and slows the pin down just enough to keep it from striking the primer hard enough to set it off would not rely on it to do its job

This thing is everything that they said it was. I can't wait to set it up. The 22 blank is actually pretty loud.

I Love this device! I have used them for a recent camping trip, and I am confident in this trip alarm’s ability. If it's deer or intruder, once they trip this, I know it, immediately. The blast is extremely loud, and will scare off any animals, hopefully intruders too. It is important to consider if you have kids or pets, to take care of how high you place the trip line. I have accidentally discharged them myself, because I just forgot where I had placed them. This trip alarm is a must have on all my camping trips now for peace of mind.
