Slim, light, powerful
This 16" HP Envy laptop is so much thinner, lighter, and more powerful than the one it replaced--a 17" Lenovo Legion from 2018--that even though I made the switch 5 months ago, I'm still delighted each time I travel with it.So far, I've only used it for general home & office applications. I don't know yet how it performs with games like Digital Combat Simulator (DCS), but it meets the system requirements and I bought it with DCS in mind.Dislikes:- sometimes, when I'm traveling and using an external travel monitor and have 30-40 tabs open and am trying to watch YouTube clips, the video is sluggish. That might be a factor of my Wi-Fi, which is not as fast as it is at home.- I miss the number pad on my old gigantic brick of a laptop- Battery life is about 5 hours of continuous use, maybe less if I'm watching movies, and I'd like 7 hoursLikes:- At around $1,200, it was reasonably priced. Not much more than a phone.- monitor is a good compromise between viewing area and travel size- backlit keys- ports/jacks for headphones, ethernet, mini-SD, USB-C x 2, USB 3.0, and HDMI- power cord is much smaller and lighter than my old Lenovo, and it has a 90-degree bend at the computer input so it doesn't stick out much- fast start-up- quiet and not very too hot. My old computer's fan ran constantly. Not this one, unless I'm taxing it with lots of video.- it's held up nicely through lots of travel in backpacks and suitcasesSo far, this is the best computer I've ever owned. There may be better values out there, but I haven't seen them. Highly recommended.

Extremely underrated for price
Ive had this laptop for a couple days now and It has been great and it came as described. The value for money is insane for the amount of things you get. Good battery life, good quality, great performance, but it is on the heavier side. I would suggest this laptop to everyone out there. Take a chance!

Pretty good bang-for-the-buck
Pro's:Full featured laptop at a reasonable price.Clean design and not too heavy for a 16" display unit.Dedicated graphics are a big hit.Con's:There is optional charging available via the forward Thunderbolt port, but it appears to charge only when the laptop is not in use. (limits use of USB-C charging when 'on the road')
