Purple Learn Button Only
I have the Craftsman 1/2 hp garage door opener with the PURPLE learn button. This replacement remote is exactly the same as the original and is easy to pair with the PURPLE learn button only. Works as it should.

Does the job... if you can get it apart.
I'm docking at least one star because there's no easy way to get the opener apart to put a battery in. Funny thing is that after a convincing bout with a butter knife, I got the opener open and there was already a battery in it with no little plastic piece between the battery and the contacts. So these already come with batteries and you DON'T need to open them, or the ones I got were returned and those are someone else's batteries. Either way, be ready for a struggle and some f-bombs when the batteries die or you attempt your first use.The opener itself paired up quickly and worked on the first try. The range is... ok. The OEM opener would open the door from about 3 houses away, this one sometimes it'll open from 1 house away but mostly it'll work once I'm in front of the house. Not a deal breaker since I back into the garage, but for some having to wait for the door open might be an inconvenience.
