Impressive!
I was impressed as soon as I opened the package. The box it comes with looks like it should be jewelry: durable cardboard with a magnet-locked hinged lid. Upon opening it, I immediately saw a few ear tips in a plastic bag and a rubber pegboard with different sizes, shapes, and tips. This came in handy as my ears are different, and using a different size and style provided a better fit. It comes with a quality charging cord long enough to reach on top of a nightstand, not the little 6” cord the others I sent back came with, and a felt drawstring bag for the charging case.I have owned a Miracle-Ear pair and tested a state-of-the-art $5,000 pair. The sound quality is truly just as good, if not better. I have also tested several OTC sets I sent back for various reasons. This set beats them all, hands down! It comes with an app (more on this later) that is a little frustrating because of the lack of communication. You must use the app as a control, using the physical buttons limited to volume control and phone answering. This was a plus for me as I can never remember the combinations of presses and long presses. The hearing test is more comprehensive than the others, but there are no individual frequency controls, so it may take a couple of times to dial in what's best for you. The fine-tuning gives you RL volume control and three noise suppression settings: Quiet, Noisey, and Auto. The auto works exceptionally well, but the degree of noise suppression is not that great. It also has three levels: howling (feedback) suppression, noise suppression, and own voice and speech enhancement. Each of these will change the overall sound. I encourage you to try each setting to dial in a comfortable sound. I had to return a pair of OTC aids because even full volume wasn't enough. These have the power to spare. I have yet to drain the battery, even using them to listen to music via Bluetooth.I was going to knock off a couple of stars because I had a lot of trouble connecting the app to Bluetooth, even though it connected easily to my phone and iPad. The trick is to return to the home screen and click Hearing Test, even though you have already taken it. It will take you to a screen to check if your device is connected, and click Hearing Test again. It will take you then to a page where you can access the Fine Tuning page. If you follow those directions, you will have no trouble using the app.Overall, you are getting a $5,000 hearing aid for $300! Impressive!Update: the batteries drained out in one of them before the end of my day yesterday. I read in the manual that using Bluetooth will drain the batteries much faster. I listened to music with them and was on hold on the phone for a long time. I got no warning that the battery was going to die. Bluetooth will drop out when it is low to conserve power. If you listen to music or talk on the phone often, be aware that you may have to recharge them before the end of the day.

Returned via Amazon, worked well but took several days for refund to be applied to my visa.
The aids do not provide hearing aid function due to their delivery of low or no volume for accoustic sounds, Bluetooth functions for phone and streaming work well with very usable volume. Appears microphones work okay as phone works great for both transmission and reception of voice.I am seeking support from Jiuyee, and will return if they can not provide a fix.

Review of Jiulee hearing aid after three months
I am writing a review from my three months of experience with Jiulee Hearing aids. For me, they have been a great product. They deliver clear sounds and their environmental and hearing aid filters work very well. I can enjoy music, talking and hearing in loud places, and loud environmental noises are no longer such a nuisance. You do have a manual control, but the Jiulee hearing app is very easy to use. For me, it is the best option, but I do not drag my phone everywhere I go. So I set them and go, and if I have toadjust away from my phone, I just use the button. That usually occurs when people have a whispering type of speech. Now, they will take some time to get used to them. The first month I had charging issues, but their customer service was excellent and dedicated. We communicatedthrough emails and responses were sent the next day. This issue as resolved through patches the engineering staff loaded through the apps. I would simply delete one app and load the new. Issue fixed. I believe their technology is excellent, and their customer service is dedicated to helping you.The other time spent is not on product problems but the user getting to know the product. The charging of the units is critical. For me, I have to charge the charging box every other day. If you store them in a weak charged box, they will not totally charge. What I have found is that one will have more charge then the other. Therefore, once removed and placed in ears, check out the app to ensure they are fully charged. If not place both in box and recharge. They charge fast but if one is less than the other you will notice a difference in clarity and environmental filters, especially has the day goes on.The other time spent is finding the right ear canal cone. Jiulee gives you a nice selection, but they did not work will for me, and I imagine that is likely because the differences in hearing canals Luckily, I have canal cones from other models. The ones that work best for me are the cones that have larger to smaller circular fins that come to a point. They look like Christmas trees with the point going into the ear canal and the fins sealing them. No fit issues now for me. A very minor issue is the size of them. They are a little larger, but they pack larger chips. The trade-off is well worth it and is adaptable even with glasses.I am seventy years old, my circle of friends have hearing issues too. Some have hearing aids that have cost between from 5 to 10 thousand dollars. They too, have problems. But for me, these Jiulee aids work well, and I am happy with them. They are worth 5 stars to me.

Comfortable and great sound quality
I purchased these hearing aids for myself because they were a more affordable alternative than what a specialist wanted. They have made a significant change in my ability to hear the world around me. They are very comfortable to wear. The sound quality is amazing and the Bluetooth was fast and easy to set up. I appreciate the ability to change the settings from my phone. The only downside to these is the battery life. If you are an all day wearer, you'll have to charge them a few times as five hours is about how long they last. Overall, I am happy with my purchase.
