These tablets take all the work out of making better Ramen. For those of you who just toss your Ramen into boiling water, this will drive it to the next level. Easy to use and tastes delicious. Full flavored and yet subtle.

These came in individual packets, each makes 300ml of broth. I normally use Japanese dashi pouches for my dashi broth that I use in soondobu jigae (Korean tofu soup), but I used these instead today. I tasted the broth by itself first, I'd say I tasted onion in the broth, which is usually not in regular Japanese dashi. I proceeded with my usual recipe which included shallot and garlic oils. When the soup was done, it was very good, just like how I used to make it (with Japanese dashi pouches). I think my shallot and garlic oils probably mixed with the flavors of onion and garlic powder in the coins that I couldn't really tell if there was any extra flavor. It's more fitting to use Korean seafood soup tablets for Korean tofu soup, right?! 😁

I had a bit higher expectations for these soup tablets but they fell a bit short. First off they take a long time to dissolve which isn't very convenient. I dropped one in before boiling some water and there was still a big undissolved chunk even after it was done boiling. It took almost another 10 minutes after boiling for it to dissolve. The flavor is also a bit lacking. I used one in about 10oz of water, while it did have a decent seafood flavor, there was hardly any saltiness or umami so it tasted kind of "flat".

Soup base for fish stew.

These are great little stock tablets, they dissolve quickly enough, add tons of delicious umami to soups, and are very clean/easy to use. If you don't want to mess about with kombu and fish stock this is an easy alternative - exact replica? no. But fast easy alternative? absolutely! will be getting more!

These bouillon cubes are amazing. They give an incredible flavor without being super salty like you'd find with other cubes.You can use it to make all sorts of different dishes because it complements a variety of flavors. I have used this to make a bunch of different soup dishes.

It is a mild flavored broth. I like the packaging, it stays fresh and dry. Dissolves well. The flavor is fishy but mild.
