Q: Hi. I wondered if you could clarify the note pad side. Is there a sleeve or pocket that the back of a note book can fit in to stop it falling out.

The notepad is A5 - yes there is a pocket that this slips in to. I am really pleased with this, it is smart with a strong zip and another. Big pocket, little pockets for cards and a place to secure a pen. It is bigger than A5in itself, but A5 sheets fit into it very well. Hope this helps.

Q: Will this take C5 envelopes

If you take into consideration size of the envelope, yes. But thickness is gonna be important factor as well. It's not a case for plenty of envelopes.

I bought this folder to keep my travel car documents all in one place and found it to be more than adequate for my job. It has one large pocket which is closed with Velcro strap and does hold all its contents safely. I am absolutely delighted with mine and the bonus for me is the way it feels and looks. If your diary is larger than an eight tablet, which fits into the sealed pocket then go for the larger size. I hope I have answered you query
