The telephone socket and power socket are on opposite sides of the room, quite far apart, and I needed a longer cable to connect my WiFi router properly. This cable turned out to be a perfect solution! It’s available in various lengths, and I opted for 5m, long enough to bridge the gap without any hassle.Does it really work "10 times faster than a standard cable" as claimed? Honestly, I have no idea - I didn’t run any scientific speed tests to compare it to the short cable that came with my router. What I can say is that it works reliably. My internet connection is stable, and the WiFi signal is stronger now that I’ve positioned the router in a more central spot. That’s what matters most to me.One of the best perks is how it’s helped me tidy up my setup. Does exactly what it says on the tin...Needed to move router from back of the house to somewhere more central - 150 year old house, big thick walls, phone line comes in at right at the back! Cable is plenty long, it plugs straight in and router is working great. Definitely happy with the price for the length and the fact it works! Would recommend.

Product works but is extremely cheap to the touch. I thought it would be like any other ethernet cable. Strong bendy secure. But it feels as tho it is made with the cheapest possible materials (the actual wire)

Our broadband router was in a corner of the house next to where the BT socket is, which was unfortunately well away from most of our wifi appliances are so the signal was lost having to travel through several walls. I bought this cable so that I could re-site the router in the hallway in a much more central location. Before installing the cable in the surface mount ducting I'd laid to make it a neat job, I connected it up and tried it out to see if there was much signal loss. To my surprise, the speed tests I ran actually gave much better results than the original short, thin cable that was supplied with the router. This was also the case once it was installed, and the new router location also proved much better, so a good result all round. 👍
