I've only used it once, but it did the job perfectly. Made about 2 quarts of yogurt in my Instant Pot. The strainer held it all and even had extra room. I strained it over night and had terrific Greek yogurt the next morning. The yogurt was easy to remove from the strainer, fell right out when tipped over. I washed the strainer basket by hand, although it does say it is dishwasher safe. It was easy easy to wash by hand. I kept the whey in the the bottom of the strainer, put the top back on, and placed it in the refrigerator, until I needed to use it. Yes, the top works with or without the strainer basket inside. Great feature. I especially like that this strainer is square and not round, because it uses space more efficiently in the frig. So far I highly recommend this product!

Very handy, easy to clean. I've used it to strain several batches of yogurt. Seems to be well built. Lid is very secure. Nice size that fits in the fridge. I make yogurt with a gallon of milk at a time so I strain in two batches but it's not that big a deal I can't tell any flavor difference between the first batch strained and the second. Straining this way also makes keeping the whey easy. I use mine in meal replacement shakes.

Oh my gosh! Where do I begin? I purchased this to go along with the Ultimate Yogurt Maker machine. I wanted to strain the whey from the yogurt after it was done processing. It worked perfectly. I plopped the new yogurt into the strainer, set it in the fridge to drain and couple of hours later I had very thick yogurt and whey. I will use the whey to make my husbands pancakes on Sunday. If you have the need to do this straining I would highly recommend using this item. It is well made, stores easily in the cabinet and is not chintzy. The mesh is so fine that the yogurt remained in the container while the whey drained into the lower container. It was very easy to clean and cleaned up without issue. I am going to try using it to make creme fraiche next. I really enjoy the fact it hold 2.5 quarts of product so you don't have to do it in small batches.

Good quality. Nice size / capacity. Fair price. Excellent delivery. Very prompt and careful placement of package.We used this immediately after receiving it. Washes up easily. Tight lid. Holds full half gallon of yogurt. Perfect size and we don't have to keep checking and emptying the whey. I think this is going to help us enjoy making greek yogurt and labne again. Seems much more sturdy than we expected.

If you make a lot of Greek yogurt, you need this in your life. It’s worth every penny, and trust me I balked at the price initially. It’s easy to use and clean, easily fits in the fridge. The main tip I have is to not rush the process - let it strain the recommended amount of time and you will have creamy delicious yogurt. I easily fit a half gallon of milk in it..

This was exactly what I wanted. The fine mesh keeps the yogurt from dripping out but lets the water drain out. It was surprising how much liquid comes out and you’re left with a nice thick, smooth Greek yogurt consistency. It’s big enough for a bigger amount but also does well with a smaller batch and the square shape fits well in the refrigerator. It is very well made and seems like it will last a long time. I would recommend this product.

I started making yogurt in my instant pot and the only part of the process that was mildly annoying was going through a lot of cheesecloth to strain the yogurt for Greek yogurt. This strainer takes all of the guess work out of it and is the perfect size for my 3 quart instant pot batch. Now that I don’t have to use cheese cloth every time this strainer is quickly paying for itself. It separates the whey without getting any milk solids in it. The only downside as other reviews have mentioned is that the lid fits so securely it can be a little challenging to get off. On the plus side, the yogurt stays very fresh and does not pick up any odors from the refrigerator because of that tight seal so it’s worth it. It also washes up easily. Highly recommend the Ultimate yogurt jars as well— everything I’ve gotten from this brand has been high-quality and works extremely well.
