Great antenna, works really well
Simple antenna that doesn't cost too much and works really well, perfect solution if you don't have much space. Can be erected and collapsed easily which makes it also suitable for portable operation. Mounted it at ground level (3 feet) for testing, and had no problems getting it matched on all bands with the built-in antenna tuner and 10m RG58. Assembly is straight forward but took a bit longer due to the jubilee clips which are difficult to tighten properly; at least they can be bought in any hardware shop if replacement is needed. For a permanent installation one should seal the joints of the segments with amalgamating tape, as recommended. Time will tell how long the antenna will last once exposed to all sorts of weather, and I would buy it again if comes to that.

Excellent value and performance
Having had this antenna for over a month I have changed my review.I bought this antenna more on price than anything else. I wanted a simple muti-band vertical antenna I could use at the bottom of my garden while gardening. Visually the antenna looks nice and well made but let down by using jubilee clips to lock the telescopic sections of the antenna. Fed by 10 meters of RG58 it tunes up with the internal ATU on my FT991 on all bands including 60m 17m and 6m. The receive performance is on par with my end fed but the qrm is lower on the vertical so the week signal performance if anything has improved, this maybe because this antenna is 200 feet from any overhead telephone lines carrying broadband. Received reports on 17m, 12m and 10m have been consistently an S point or 2 up on my existing antenna. Another nice point is the collapsed height of the antenna is not much more than a metre so easily slips into the boot of a car for field work. This antenna out performs a similar antenna I sold on 6 years ago and cost 3 times as much. I am more than pleased with my purchase and wished I had bought this year's ago.

A breath of fresh "air"
The addition of this antenna to my ham station has enhanced it's range no end I live in the north of England and can now send signals to the continental SDR repeaters and hear the echo back without a problem. The performance of this well priced antenna is well worth the moneyI am restricted for space as I only have a small concrete back yard at the rear of my terraced home so vertical was the only way to go.Highly recommended also for field working as it can be collapsed to fit in the car to go out "portable"***** Five star buy. Great antenna for smaller gardens.
Great antenna, I needed something that would work in a new build small garden and this fits the bill perfectly. I have it supported by a dense post and well hidden amongst some trees. As for performance, I have picked up stations into Asia and the US as the bands open. Very happy with my purchase.

Burnt out Balun ??
Star Rating would be 5 For antenna but 1 for BalunUsing this antenna for about 6 months only on FT8, FT4 and on 10,20,40m bands, with 80watts max, , suddenly lost everything no reception at all.Found the Balan had overheated and burnt out. £50.00 for new one, inc postageWhen contacting Sigma was told this has never happened before and that the antenna should not be used for Digital modes. ???????with my contacts i have found 2 other operators of Digital Modes that the same has happened and they have contacted Sigma and 1 was given a fee replacement.BUT, i stand by the antenna as one of the best verticals i have ever used and is still in use, but at a reduced output wattage, namley 50w.
