Wonderful portal AC
We had the event this Saturday at a community room without AC in Los Angeles. The weather was very hot today. Thanks to the portal AC, the event went well with a nice room temperature.

My 2nd Zafrow portable air unit.
This is my 2nd Zafro portable air-conditioner and I had a great experience with it. Generally, it is well-packed. When you unpack it, it is easy to put together. The biggest challenge is getting the hose onto the window interface and then fit it correctly into the window itself. It can get awkward. It doesn't always fit right and you might have to improvise and adjust a bit. Also, the plastic material of the hose feels brittle. I get very nervous in bending and twisting too much. However, I was able to get in without cracking the hose. The condensation hose will drain a lot of water especially in Florida where there is a lot of humidity. Be prepared to have a large bucket or container to empty out periodically. The unit has wheels and you can roll it around to the location you want. The remote control is basic and easy to use. The noise level is moderate. It can be very quiet but you won't get much airflow. Inevitably, in Florida, you have to turn up the air flow.

Blows cold and easy install
Blows cold, I had to adjust the vent to blow away from me because I got cold pretty quick. Easy install too.

Perfect size for smaller areas.
Great for my den. My den was an addition onto my home, and doesn't have any HVAC. In the past I have only used windows and fans to keep it cool inside, but now I can be very comfortable sitting in the den on a warm afternoon with no complaints. I had no problems putting this together, and it arrived in great condition. It was on the heavier side so I was concerned with how it would look when I opened it, however it was packed very well. It blows plenty of air to cool a 200 sq ft room and doesn't produce a tremendous amount of noise. No more than a typical window unit I don't think. It's small enough to fit anywhere in the room, yet big enough to be felt anywhere in the room.

Can be Noisy so probably not for the bed room
The media could not be loaded. Very nice and easy to set up portable air conditioner. I wanted this for my office which is above a separate garage in a Room-in-truss with little insulation above the ceiling to block out the heat of the direct sun. Even in Northern WI this can make working up there near impossible. I have another portable AC unit that I was carrying over to our guest room in another building also without AC. But As I get older it is getting more difficult to carry that larger unit up the stairs to the office. This is doing a great job so far keeping up. The remote is great and easy to use, with straight forward controls on the unit. I had to cut the sliding portion of the window mount but a hack saw or in my case band saw worked very well. Attaching the hose to the 2 ends was a little difficult but took my time and it is now firmly connected. When placing the unit, 90 degree turns will slow down the airflow out of the window so keep the vent hose as straight as you can but it is flexible too. I have tried everything to keep this room cool including some very big fans but this unit does a great job of cooling the room so I can work. However it is noisy. As you can hear in the video the regular noise of the fan going is not too bad but then there is a much worse rattling noise that goes away if you shut it down and turn it back on. Sadly it does eventually come back. Up here that is acceptable and I can live with it. But it would not work in a bedroom.

Blows cold
Works great average noise level for unit that are in this category. Packing of the unit could be better, to better protect it from damage during shipping. Mine came slightly damage from shipping but does not affect the performance of the unit. I got this unit to work with my other A/C unit for my garage when I am working in the hot summer heat of the southwest desert. I am hoping this will just be enough added cooling to help cool the garage faster during our peak 115-degree hot summer days. This unit was easy to set up, you don't even need instruction if you have the basic understand on how these unit's work. It is always nice to have these portable units for emergency uses when your primary Central air goes out while waiting for a service tech to fix it.

Works great, portable, easy to move around
This is a smaller portable air conditioner. I got this to use in our bedroom for during hurricane season when our power goes out.I tested this and I was happy with how it functioned. It has a vey powerful fan and blows with a good amount of force. You can also use this as a fan and a dehumidifier. When running this is kind of loud but that is how all of the portable ac units are that I have used.I like that this has a remote as well as buttons on the top to use if you misplace the remote. It has a drainage condensation hose included if you want to run for an extended amount of time. It will shutoff if the internal reservoir tank gets full. It that happens you have to tip to drain and then plug back in. The directions say to run on just a fan after using but before storing to get all the moisture out.The unit itself is fully assembled. The hardest part in setup is setting up the air discharge. You have to be near a window and use the provided tubing and window shield. This works in a sliding window or up/down type window. A casement window would need a different type of attachment.I like the size of this because it is easier for me to store, and easily fits in one of my closets.Overall, super happy with this AC.
