I’ve always loved my TravelPro suitcase. It lasted me 15 years, which was a real testament to the quality of the product. When it finally broke, I was looking for a suitable replacement. As a frequent traveler, a new suitcase is a big purchase, so I spent a lot of time reading reviews. At the top of all the big lists (Wire Cutter, etc.) was the Away Carry On suitcase. Based on what I read, I decided to give this case a try. So far, I’ve taken it on two short trips and I’m preparing to take it overseas.I am extremely satisfied with the purchase. The wheels are strong, durable, and glide easily over any type of a surface. The case itself is lightweight, and that really matters when you're packing for airplane travel. I’m also amazed at how much I can fit inside, thanks to the compression pad. The compression pad really works wonders (amazing - with packing cubes). I love that the suitcase is lightweight and I can squish everything down to fit a bunch of stuff in it.The biggest pull for me was the lifetime warranty. That’s what sold me on the suitcase. If a wheel breaks or something happens to the handle, Away will fix it for the life of the product. It makes this competitive with Briggs and Riley, which is another suitcase manufacturer that I was also considering.

Spacious, fits easily into overhead compartments, glides like a dream

This suitcase is great for plane trips. It fits easily in overhead bins and its wheels make it easy to move through airports. There is a surprising amount of room in the case, which has been beautifully laid out. It even comes with a free cloth laundry bag! The locks are easy to set and use. I am very happy with this purchase!

This carry on rolls so easy, it feels like it has a motor…effortless. I’ve only flown with it twice but it seems to be very durable so far.

I’m not sure this bag lives up to its hype. I’ve only traveled with it once. So far, it made the journey. I thought it would be sturdier. The hinge seems a bit flimsy. My choice of colors was probably not wise. It looks chic but it came out very marked through baggage claim. It was on sale or I probably wouldn’t have chanced it.

First of all, the ease of maneuvering is great, I can use two fingers to roll the suitcase. The wheels are equally balanced, I like the lock feature, easy to use and change if needed. The size is carry on, so much more important these days. I believe the durability is 5 stars. Getting ready to use in a short time, I’m excited to have a new suitcase , with all of the features we all want.

Very well-made and durable

I just love my Away carryon! Using it on trip to Ireland and was able (with compression bags) to pack for a 13 day trip. Despite all the weight packed, with the lightweight case I was able to easily get into the overhead bin without assistance. The look is modern and the rollability is like butter. Lots of compartments for stashing bits. Also like the built in security with zipper lock. Great value for the money!
