These pens do not write well at all.

How do these compare to Tül pens?

Well TUL has a larger ball base than the UNI. I find a thinner base more functional

Does the ink show up on black paper or is it just for white paper?

Just for white, I have been looking for a milky equivalent. I keep hoping they will make some :) since these are my favorite.
