Q: For some reason this reel will only cast around 20 feet max and I have 30 lb line on it am I doing something wrong?

30 lb. line is WAY too heavy for a light action rod. I would put no more than 8 lb. line on it. Get some 6 lb. braided line and it will cast 100'. Use it to fish for panfish or trout. Get a heavier rod for fish bigger than that.

It depends on which combo you order. The 4’8” ultralight, 6’ 6” medium heavy, and 7’ medium heavy are all 1 piece. The others are 2 pieces.

No, but the reel lists what weights and how much it will hold of each. 4/lb 190 yds, 6/lb 140 yds, 8/lb 110 yds
