You have to combine the 2 parts by, yes, sliding the yellow rod from the holder and making sure they are o the SAME side. Now the inoculated portion can spread into the rest of the block. DO NOT REMOVE WHITE PATCH. It’s good and need to be there to keep the fungus in the bag.... the co2 will leak out through that filter patch and not contaminate you flowering room.

Id like ship to Michigan this month, does cold weather affect the mycelium?

Cold weather will not affect the bag. If the bag does freeze, simply allow it to naturally warm back up. Do not try to speed it along. The mycelium will recover and will be good to go. Thanks.

Can i use this with a dehumidifier in the tent?

I don’t see why not. The CO2 bag is closed but for a small vent patch.
