These are for off road use. Not SAE/DOT approved. However, you can look up vehicle specific applications on Baja Designs website to see if they do have some SAE/DOT approved ones for your vehicle.

I can't speak for other sellers but the lights we (4x4TruckLEDs) sell are indeed the newer version of the Squadron Sports, which are rated at 3,150 lumen each.
