The Gallaghers have always scraped by, but this season finds some of them finally getting a leg up, with more changes than the Chicago River. When Frank awakens from a coma to learn that his loved ones tossed him in the river, he declares war – Gallagher vs. Gallagher. But Fiona is too busy improving her own life to worry about Frank’s. After last season’s betrayal, she’s now moved on, and nothing is getting in the way of her new life as manager of Patsy’s – including her family. Gallagher Golden Boy Lip finishes up his time in rehab, and emerges with a new outlook on alcoholism and his future, whereas the once-unstable Ian is now thriving as an EMT and in a comfortable relationship. Debbie is still figuring out how to be a good mom to young Franny, while Carl has some big decisions to face as he enters manhood. With Fiona’s new determination, will the rest of the Gallaghers fall apart without her there to pick up the pieces?

Another great season
This 7th season of Shameless again sees more character development, along with more cast turnover. I will not go a ton into the various storylines so I do not spoil too much for those who have not seen the season yet, but all the characters (even Liam) get storylines this season. Ian, Carl, and Fiona are making their way out of their respective rock bottoms, while Lip and, to some extent, Debbie continues to spiral. Lip, because of the fallout with his professor and Debbie being a teen mother and dealing with in-laws. Frank comes up with another scam after being fished out of the river, trying to come up with a replacement family. For those who get the blu ray set, it is much like the prior seasons. Two discs, with deleted scenes making up the bulk of the extras, along with two behind-the-scenes features, one on how Emma and Ethan have grown up on the show, and one on the politics of Frank (basically how the writers and William H. Macy see Frank's belief system).Overall, the show continues to be well written and acted. If you have liked the prior seasons then you will probably like this one. If you have not liked the prior seasons, then this is probably not going to convert you. There is still a lot of swearing, drug and alcohol use, and sex. That has not really changed at all. So, if that would turn you off to a show, then this one is definitely not for you.

Seven very good seasons so far
This series is still going strong. Many series tend to feel tired and repetitive after the first three or four seasons - not so with Shameless as far as I am concerned. It is still well written, well acted and extremely funny. And it is fun to watch the members of the Gallagher family grow up season by season. Recommended! :)

Must Watch Season
I have watched and Loved this show since day one, I use to record it being on nights that I was working when I had Showtime, I have most of the series I was on Amazon last week, This was down to $11.00, I couldn't believe it, I purchase it right away. Fiona is quite the Beautiful woman, in this season Debbie is leaning to be a "Mom",Frank, well Frank is Frank, Great series . Amazing to look back, see the time, how the Gallagher are growing, as you are aging

Classic TV
Simply another chapter in what is one of the BEST shows ever to grace the airwaves. The Gallaghers are an over the top dysfunctional family [with similar friends]. The acting is top notch. Bill Macy is doing his best work here; Fargo notwithstanding. Emily Rosssum is also crucial. Her leaving the show after the current season may well be the death knell..Don't start with this season. Get them all and start at the beginning.

An Avid Shameless Addict
Am an avid Shameless fan. Gave only 4 stars, as I felt this was not one of the best seasons in terms of writing and story plots. The whole Frank and his homeless family was too boring, and didn't really draw me into the whole family Gallagher plot.
