The media could not be loaded. Been using baitcasters and spinning real for a good while no so decided to find a kit to learn fly fishing. This is exactly what it is and a good price too. Made an unboxing quick video of everything included. First everything arrived fine and packed nicely. The rod is pretty great, flexible enough and good backbone. Reel and line are pretty good too. Came with bunch of flies, extra leader, and little accesories like liner cuter, pliers etc. In general is a great kit to learn instead of spending so much money as a begginer. Totally recommended.

Lots of reviews saying the rod tip keeps breaking. After catching several large bass and catfish I can say that mine has held up against a beating. The other parts of the kit are nice as well. The flies are lower quality and wear out quickly. Otherwise I highly recommend this combo.

The media could not be loaded. Rod snapped after getting snagged on a little twig but otherwise absolutely a great setup for beginners like me. Already caught a handful of trout with it. Only problem is that Like said before it snapped, hoping to get a replacement

This kit allowed me to get started fly fishing this season without breaking the bank. I wanted to wait until I got some good use out of it to give an honest review and I have to say, I am more than impressed! My buddy spent three times what I did for a starter kit which he likely regrets. Net Angler is the way to go. Everything you need to get started fly fishing. At this price, it can't be beat. The rod has held up to the abuse of a novice learner and allowed me to refine my fly fishing technique. The flies could have been higher quality with more variety, but something is better than nothing. The rod case and sleeve allow me to keep it in my vehicle so I'm always ready to fish. Nothing to dislike, excellent starter kit. It has great action. Came prepared to fish right out of the smiley faced box. The reel is all set to go. I would recommend buying either tippets, or just a spool of 6lb mono to add to the end to attach flies. If this is your first ever time fly fishing, you will bust off several flies and use a bunch of line. The flies that come with the kit are nice, I have caught many bluegills, bass and even some crappie. The reel is nice, the drag works well, the rod is nice and smooth, zero issues using the rod for a couple months now.

Very nice starter rod with an extra tip incase u break it!! I'm glad the case is a hard one to store the rod in!

20 years ago, I taught myself to fly fish. I'm literally the only person in my family that does it. I learned everything on my own, for better or worse. The problem is (or was) that when 10 year old me was wanting more equipment, it was a challenge because everything was so expensive. I was pleasantly surprised to see now that everything in the fly fishing world is a little more reasonable and this kit is no exception. Back then, a large arbor reel was a new thing and was 200 dollars minimum.This is pretty awesome for new or restarting fly fisherman. With what you get, you pretty much have the ability to go out once you receive your order.I only gave 4 stars because I did not particularly care for the quality of the fly box nor the flies, but I used to be an obsessive fly tier, so I'm picky with quality. The box is hard to defend. Very cheap. The rod is visually appealing and performing, as is the reel.

Came with two of the tip ends of the rod, which I thought was a nice bonus. I broke the first one on the first cast and the second one the the first time I had a fish on. Rod is now useless, hoping reel will hold up.
