I started using NEUTROGENA OVER Fifty Years ago and STILL LOVE IT and Why
I have always had slightly oily skin, as I get older, less so, but still oily.I have loved Neutrogena (and not NEARLY as many products back in the late 60's, early 70's!) since I first tried it.WHY AND WHEN I use it now:NOT really moisturizing, but not drying either - FOR ME I only use it every other day. I use Dove's Baby Fragrance Free for Sensitive Skin the rest of the time. Neutrogena helps keep the oil at a minimum, but doesn't dry out my skin. IF you have dry skin, this may not be the right Neutrogena product for you.NO FRAGRANCE! I am VERY sensitive to fragrance. Didn't use to be til my forties and then lots of scents could give me a headache. I love this is fragrance free.Just as a bonus, I love the pump on this. I don't like soaps, I like liquids and this has a great bottle and pump.BOTTOMLINE: IF you have slightly oily skin, combo skin (and I use a moisturizer that agrees with my skin at night because as I have gotten older, I use retinol so top it with a moisturizer) and FRAGRANCE is a DEAL BREAKER, you may want to give this a try.

Removes makeup easily
I’ve been using this face cleanser for a while now and it’s one of the few that actually works well with my sensitive skin. It removes makeup easily — even stubborn stuff like foundation and mascara — without leaving my skin feeling stripped or tight afterward. I really appreciate that it’s fragrance-free. I try to avoid any added scents because they usually irritate my skin, and this one doesn’t cause any issues at all. It just does the job — simple, gentle, and effective — which is exactly what I need in a cleanser.

Great product, pure soap
I really like this soap. I’m kind of a soap connoisseur. It doesn’t leave any filmy residue or feel greasy while you’re using it. Just pure amber colored soap that’s easy on the skin and gets the job done.

The only face wash that has ever NOT given me a reaction
It's great. I have THE MOST sensitive skin in the world. Everything gives me a reaction. This is the only stuff that has ever worked. I do use moisturizer right after usually, but sometimes I don't feel like I need to. I don't wear makeup daily but it is a good makeup remover when I do use it. I keep it in the shower and I use it right at the end before I get out. Usually I shower every other day and that seems like a good amount for this as well. I haven't had any breakouts since starting it, and my skin is a very nice color. I don't have oily skin but I would get a fair amount of pimples. Haven't had a single one since I started this. Only negative is it smells AWFUL but honestly I don't care, to me that just means they didn't put any harmful stuff in!

WTF is going on with the price???
The price has doubled all of a sudden!! I’ve been using Neutrogena liquid soap for forty years. I have very sensitive skin and I love how it cleans without drying my face, and it’s the only soap I use for cleansing my lady parts. For years, this was incredibly affordable. Within the past few years I could find it for maybe 8-9 bucks and would watch for a sale and scoop up several bottles for as low as $6.99. I’m no economist but I understand inflation - but now it’s $15-16 bucks a pop? How? Why??

Have been using this product for quite a few years but changing my opinion of it
When I was a child, my mother told me to never use soap on my face. Since I was 12 years old, I have used Neutrogena on my face. I am now 66 years old, and have no wrinkles. Granted this may be partially due to heredity, but I believe the drying effects of soap contribute to the look of the skin. After so many years of success, I will stick to this product that is good, and gentle, for my face.UPDATE 6/20/18I am now 71 years old, and still have very little in noticeable wrinkles, but I have to admit that gravity is having it's effect on some areas of my face. I grew up in a time that there was little to choose from in facial cleansing. When I was 12 years old, my mother told me that I should never use soap on my face. At that time, the only available cleanser was Noxzema, so that's what I used and never had problems with my skin. When I got a little older, I found liquid Neutrogena facial cleanser, and have used it for almost 40 years. More recently, I looked at the ingredients in this cleanser, and discovered that there isn't much natural about it. I have become familiar with more natural skin cleansers and have been trying some of them. Having used different cleansers, I have realized that the Neutrogena cleanser never really felt rinsed off after I rinsed my face. I guess I never thought much about this until I started trying other cleansers.I have learned that taking care of your skin should start at an early age, but it's never to late to do something to improve the health of your skin. As an example of this, I have added a picture of my 98-year old mother. She as not used soap on her face for as long as I have known her, and has avoided the sun on her face as much as possible. Personally, I think she looks much younger than her age, but then she is my mother. What do you think? I have also added a picture of me at 71 years.
