Helps with the cost of caring for a diabetic pet.
I have a cat that has had diabetes for about 2 years now. Her readings were around 600, she had ketoacidosis, ibd and was hospitalized several times so the cost of caring for her is enormous. I had to search for less expensive options for all her needs. For the test strips, these have been great. I tested them along side the alphatrak2 so i could chart the differences in the readings. I found that when her readings were higher, above 350, the difference between the alphatrak and Petsure was greater, close to 50 pnt. difference. The lower her glucose levels the closer the 2 test strips were in their readings. Any reading from 100 to 200 was a minimal difference, maybe 5 points. So i had to do both for a while till i was comfortable with the readings. The cost difference, especially if you buy a multi pak is very helpful.

Works 95% of the time for 1/3 the cost!
I like that these are 1/3 the cost of the manufacturer’s pricing. They are well made and even come with more information on the product insert sheet than I’ve ever seen in using over a year from “the other product” (such critical stuff as what is really too low or high for readouts). These do not wick the blood from the sides but from the tip — so some adjustment to technique required if you learned the other way. Also, these are less sensitive to blood that flows into hair — you do need a standing drop not blood pooled at hair level — “the other product” detected pooled blood but you just learn not to try to read blood unless it is a surface drop and save 66% by using what works. Even between strips of “the other product” readings may vary 20-40 points; I found no more extreme variation using these strips versus “the other product”. Overall, great function and it’s about time we get a less costly option!

These are great & cost much less
These are great! These do load from the end rather than the sides so a little different hold required. I’m a nurse & have used glucose meters for years & these strips seem good to me. And at about 1/4 the cost of brand name strips a significant savings. I’m monitoring 4-6 times daily as we switch from Vetsulin to the Walmart NPH so the savings has been significant. Update: Wrote the above review after first 2 weeks of use. Have now used for a year at least twice daily with total satisfaction. I check twice daily before meals & adjust insulin accordingly. No problems with these strips at all!

Where are they at?????
Low cost and accurate. We don't use several different meters due to the issues above. Their will ALWAYS be differences in different machines and strips. Stick to one is my philosophy. Keeps my mind from over reacting... But I can not find them now.. They are Unavailable and not sure when will be restocked.. WTH.. The coat are high enough with vetsulin, needles, lancets and regular Dr. visits. I needy low cost test strips!! Where else can I get these?

Takes more blood, but they work
If you calibrate your Alphatrak 2 (purple one) according to the container they work just fine. I saw people giving low ratings because they tested the same drop of blood or did side by side tests. Those won't ever be reliable. Calibrating and using the test solution all of my tests have come out less than 10 ml/dL apart from eachother. The only down side is they don't have a punchout at the end like name brand ones, so you do need a little more blood to get the test done than you would with name brand strips that test on the sides (very little blood at all needed for those).

Don’t waste your time, test strips don’t work
These test strips are crap, but I guess that is what you get when you cheap out and buy an off brand product for a name brand device. After poking and prodding my cat several times to get blood, I went through at least 10 of these strips to get no reading. They just don’t work. The test strips that came with the Alpha trek 2 blood glucose monitor worked well and we didn’t have to guess to see if we got a sample. Immediate read from alpha trek strips versus these pet sure strips. The only result we got, an error or no reading at all. I put my cat through an unnecessary hell using these strips, and my advice, don’t cheap out, buy the alpha trek strips. This item is crap and Don’t buy it....they should refund customers for their wasted time, money and frustration for even suggesting these can be used with the alpha trek 2 monitor. They don’t work!.

Finally an Affordable Option - Great Customer Service
We've been buying the name brand test strips for years that have been about a dollar per test strip. It's been so expensive that we haven't been able to as closely monitor our diabetic dog as we would have liked over the years. It has cost us extra money because at crucial times (when our dog had hypoglycemic seizures) we couldn't afford to order more test strips in the past. Now we can afford them and we feel a lot more confident in monitoring the health of our pup. We even encountered some problems where test strips weren't really absorbing the sample and the customer support helped us to figure out the problem and investigate why this lot of strips weren't working well. This company truly cares about the health and well-being of our pets!

90% of strips I used, did not achieve results. wasted time and money!
lowering my costs is very important for me right now. this item is so important as a life saving tool!the strips must work properly for accurate results. this time 10% of the strips that i used were no good!! when i attempted to use this item as i had done so many times before, i was unable to get results. either no results were achieved, or errors were found.I was willing to try the strips from this seller again because of the price. the cost is far lower than the name brand strips. even with a 10% waist factor.i have compared the readings against the name brand strips and found a difference of 10-30 points, with the brand name strips always reading higher when the blood glucose level is 200 or more. when the blood glucose level is lower 100-200 approximately, then the strips are more accurate. time and money are saved by purchasing from this seller, if you get a good box.I have purchased and used this item from another seller and I had no problems.
