Helinox Swivel Chair Lightweight, Versatile, Compact, Collapsible Camping Chair

I have the Sunset also wish I bought this first. More comfortable and easier packing.

I'm a pretty big guy at 6'1", 230 lbs. This chair has a very sturdy feel, is very easy to assemble and disassemble quickly and the swivel is a great feature. Very lightweight for camping, a walk in the park, a festival or concert, basically anywhere you're strolling to an event, enjoying a seat and then strolling back. Not the right fit for long, extended hikes where lightweight is more important than sturdiness and comfort. This starts as a great chair and then tries to be lighter and more efficient instead of starting with the lightest materials and figuring out how to make a chair out of them, if that makes sense? The chair seems to hold my weight easily, feels rock-solid and is comfortable when it's being a chair. It's light and small enough to fit in a carry-on when it's baggage. A great choice.

Love this chair! I owned a couple chairs of a similarly compact nature that sit and rock on the ground and while they were super convenient to take to outdoor events and concerts, they weren't particularly comfortable to sit in long term, and my view was often blocked since I was so low. This chair is the perfect compromise of compactness and comfort. It's nearly as comfortable as a full size chair but only slightly larger than those ultra-compact chairs. I can't QUITE fit it in my purse like I could the other, but I can definitely fit it in my bike basket and carry it around easily. Looking forward to lots of festivals this summer!

Got this since I'm a bigger guy. Was worried about swivel robustness, but after 3 backpacking trips and two camping trips, this chair has more than proved itself in comfort, convenience, and strength. It well made and even though it's a bit heavier than a super light ground chair for backpacking, it's worth the weight and convenience of standing from a sitting position (not ground) and being able to turn yourself to anyone around the campfire effortlessly. If anything changes, I'll update my review, for now, I'm ok with 5 stars.

This chair is excellent and definitely has been a great purchase. It was worth it for me at the price given that I use it outside several times a week when I do work on my computer at the park. If you don't use it a lot it probably wouldn't be worth the cost though. Still, the build quality is amazing and is highly portable, with one side of the carrying case covered in loops for tying it on to a backpack.

I bowhunt deer on the ground. This enables me to swivel while at full draw silently. It packs real small and I strap it on my pack without the case to save a little weight. I also put shrink wrap on the metal legs to silence it when setting / packing up and avoid metallic sounds. Well worth the money

I bought this chair for my teenage daughter to take to swim meets. I needed something small, packable, with a back, that was quick to assemble. This worked out nicely. She can be at meets for a couple hours at a time. The benches the kids seat on usually do not have backs. This chair fits in her swim bag! The seat is breathable for wet suits! She can eat her snacks comfortable in it! And it swivels and rocks! But it isn't great just for her, but we took it camping and my toddler can get in and out of it and my husband can too! I keep it open in my basement as a gaming chair and bring it in the backyard when we have a lot of company. I can't believe I spent as much as I did on this chair, but so far I have been happy with my purchase.

These Helinox products are great. Both the Swivel chair and the Camp chair are wonderful. They are small and compact enough to carry on a motorcycle, yet they are very comfortable and roomy. Before these I had to sacrifice either comfort or travel size.

Nice idea but it's design means that the chair has too much play and it leans back. It's not at all unsafe but fails to offer upright support without input from the user. Turned out it was too high for use camping eg: under a tarp or tent vestibule. Too large an item, packed up for motorcycling camping, to warrant space - which is not a product fault.
