Bad Lid
Wanted so badly to like this coffee mug, After hours of trying to track down a 20oz mug to take to work I came across this Stanley . I already had a Stanley but it was time for a new one since I wanted a lid that locks which will provide me peace of mind knowing if it gets bumped it won't open up and spill all over the blueprints (yes that happened in front of the boss) So , perfect right another stainless Stanley that has a locking lid but not so fast > the locking mechanism got jammed and kept getting jammed after fixing it too. So , what did I do - bought another one thinking that I'll just be real gentle with the lid. Big mistake because the same thing happened even with TLC. A definite design flaw and a huge costly disappointment.

Very frágil lid
The lid got broke with just opening and closing it. It lasted 1 month. Disappointed!

I have never been more satisfied with an item than this extremely highly quality Stanley Travel mug
On time of course as usual. Thanks Amazon. The title says it all I assume but allow me a few comments more. Normally when you buy something you are pleased or at least satisfied but when you get a product like this Stanley Travel mug not only are you those things but actually kind of in awe of a product of complete quality. I am actually proud of using and having this item in public. Yeah, I know sounds stupid or silly but it is the truth. This item does Stanley proud. It's a beautifully crafted quality product. It is as solid as a rock that should last me the rest of my life. The overall design is very well thought out from the handle with that hook ring on it to the design and function of the lid. I have owned several different brands of travel mugs but this one is so much better. I had stopped hoping that a mug could keep liquids this hot for this long. It'll keep it above what I insist that the temperature of coffee be to fully enjoy. Yes, I am very picky about the temperature of my coffee and tea. My only negative comment is not really one towards the item but rather that it only comes in this 20 oz. size rather than the standard 16 oz. size but that's just me and still plenty happy with my new forever mug. Oh by the way I got the black one. It really is an item to be proud of owning.

Can you pease fix the lid?
My purchase replaced another Stanley mug I had for years. I loved the old one especially for the handle but with all good things... the handle snapped so was hoping the new replacement was going to continue that perfect travel mug perfection.Well... out of the gate, with the new one, the lock tab on the lid fell off twice. Unfortunately the second fail on the lock was lost so no more securely locking the lid anymore. I returned for a replacement however after two weeks of use the experience was definitely going to be "2nd verse - same as the 1st"!On another note: Filling this mug with my Kureg wasn't going to work since this mug is too tall even with removing the Kureg base.To Stanley:I loved the previous version of this mug, wish the handle hadn't snapped off but this version needs some more R&D.Can you please fix the lid?

Don't bother
This mug is awful! I had one of the old Stanley Thermoses and it was great. Bought this one thinking Stanley was a good product and because it is dishwasher safe. Waste of money! It is dishwasher safe, but the handle lets water in and then it will leak out the rest of the day. It does NOT hold in heat at all! Within 20 minutes of pouring hot coffee into it, the coffee is room temp. Its been like this since I received it. Only reason I never returned it was because I needed a travel mug w/ a locking lid. If you want something that will hold in heat ALL day, get an RTIC product. After buying the Stanley, I shelled out for the RTIC and it was well worth it. Spend a bit more the first time and avoid this mug!

Truck drivers best companion
Bought for someone. they drive for a living. he likes ALL STANLEY, but THIS one with HANDLE is favorite. he has the silver ones with handles as well..( could not find those anymore) found this one..he says now THIS particular one is his favorite. lasts longer for hot coffee than any other he has used.( I buy him Stanley every occasion, he has ALOT of Stanley) im sure most rough professions, and campers know the true toughness of Stanley, but for some reason..this one WITH THE HANDLE. is my truck drivers favorite. ( maybe he has place it fits in those 19 wheelers or something, not sure) would recommend. He also says the LID on this one verses the silver is different, its great. don't get me wrong, the silver ones if ever found are great as well...just as long as it has the HANDLE. wish they made more sizes WITH HANDLES.

My kind of mug. Thankyou Stanley
This is a great mug. My last mug was a Dutch Bros with the push on lid and I can't count how many times I went to grab that mug and because it had cooled during the day the seals get loose and then all the bad words would come out. This is not a straw mug though would be easy to punch hole. This mug is for you people like me that prefers a burned lip every once and a while and coffee that stays hot for hours. Retired now but this mug in snap shut position can be thrown around like a thermos. Pre heated with tap water once and if your not going to drink till several hours later you'll survive.

Tricky top
Bought this for my friend to replace his ancient travel cup. He broke the top slider part in the first ten minutes, then gave up as he's left handed & could not get the lid to screw on right so he could drink out of it. I tried too, didn't work. It's still sitting in the corner, unused. :-(

Terrible design for the top and it does not work!
The handle, being un-moveable does not line up with the top every time, so you have to put it on a half dozen times to get it to line up with how you hold and drink your tea/coffee. Also, the mechanism for the closing and locking system worked ok at first, but somehow, for some reason, now I cannot get it to close, as it seems the locking piece is in the wrong position to allow it to close, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to fix it. I now cannot close/lock the top at all. I am very disappointed as I thought I'd try a new mug type with a handle, but will go back to my trusty Contigo mugs now. What a waste of money! )o:

Durable and It Works!
Keeps my tea hot for a very long time! I like to drink without the lid so I like the edge as it has no threads or weird shapes in the way to drink properly.

Great at first, but after a while, the lids break.
We purchased 4 of these mugs and they were great at first, but after just a few months, all of the lids are broken. There is a locking mechanism on the lid, and that is the part that breaks on all of them. Now the inner part of the lid falls into the mug. Very frustrating.

I'm satisfied
This thing is a bad ass. It turned out to be bigger in height than I expected, it was a plus for me. It fell on the floor of the woodshop I worked at and it didn't get the smallest dent or scratch. It keeps both water cold and tea or coffee hot. The inside material is also high quality.

Great quality
Awesome except for the lid is real difficult to twist on tight enough to get it to line up properly for drinking. Great quality though, other than the stiff lid much prefer over Yeti coffee mug with no handle. Nice shape and size with comfortable handle
