This standard design is universal and will mount to almost any load bar / luggage rack on vehicles today. Each set is designed to transport 1 kayak (per rack) on their side, saving space allowing room for other cargo. The large "J" style design makes loading and unloading fast and easy. Our racks will easily fit most factory and after market square, oval, or flat cross bars. Fits crossbars that are up to 3-1/2" wide square or rectangle. Fits crossbars 1-1/2" at least in diameter for oval. Crossbars run from the driver side of the vehicle to the passenger side. Racks will not fit on bars that run from the front of the vehicle to the back of the vehicle. Fold down design does not need to be removed after every use. Approximately 6-1/2" high when folded down! When not in use, fold down for better fuel mileage and to avoid damage from low overhangs such as drive-thru awnings fully opened garage doors and etc. Heavy duty steel design has memory foam padding to protect your kayaks and provide years of trouble free service. Rack surfaces are painted to prevent rust with an added vent holes to extend the product service life. 2 different sets of bottom mounting plates one curved and one straight (flat), depending on your need. Improved base with lock nuts to avoid loosening. Included are the quick adjust hull tie down straps, and the bow/stern tie down ropes for added transportation safety. A good deal
Easy to install and remove. Can carry 2 kayaks easily. You need to strap kayak down carefully putting little twist in the strap otherwise you'll have an irritating hum going down the road. I remove them when not transporting my kayak because they create a lot of wind noise when traveling unloaded.

Looks great on Renegade
These racks are excellent for the price. If you want colorful coordinating j-bars for your vehicle they are really the only option! The folding mechanism is easy to use, and the hardware seemed to be good quality. Honestly couldn't tell any difference in noise with the racks on as opposed to just the crossbars. I love the fact that they came assembled, and the color.

I love these kayak racks
I love these kayak racks. They look great and they get the job done. You do need to make sure that you retighten the mounting hardware from time to time. The wind will loosen then over time. Other than that, they have worked out great!

Great Product and price for two racks!!!
We like these racks, but we have an excursion and the luggage rack sits so close to the roof there is hardly any clearance for all the bolts and nuts. I had to shave the bolts so they didn't scrape the roof top, but that is a problem of the luggage rack we have. The racks themselves work great and carry my two Kayaks very securely even at high speeds down the interstate.
