Nalgene’s newest bottle combines two different ways to enjoy water, sports drinks and other beverages through the convenience of both a high-flow spot and a straw. The high-flow port allows the user to drink from the Multi-Drink like the OTG (On The Go) bottles, but also add the convenience of a straw for added pleasure. No more tilting the bottle upside down to get the rest of the drink

I buy this bottle JUST for the lid.
I LOVE this lid. I originally found the bottle at a target and I was like... oooo multi-drink. Yeah, I CHUG my water... I do not sip. So the wide mouth Nalgene in general is hard to chug without spilling all over myself, and the "lip guards" help, but they aren't as functional as this is. Finally after years of abuse, the lid cracked after dropping it, while full, on the corner of the lid. I feel like this is expected, it's plastic. But absolutely totally worth replacing. I was devastated to think that I couldn't buy a replacement, so when I found this I was SOOO EXCITED.I've purchased an additional 4 bottles, from Amazon (because the top is $7.99 and with the bottle it's $10.20) and I use the top on my 32 oz Nalgene. I got a replacement one for the one that cracked, one for my boyfriend after he kept drinking out of my bottle, and two for my Dad to put on his Nalgenes after he saw me using mine and was jealous.I can't figure out why people don't like it, and why it would get a bad review. I've had it leak when I don't screw the top on all the way (duh). Sometimes if there is a dramatic shift in temperature and the bottle is upside down there MAY be some that comes out of the air flow valve, but other than that I've NEVER had a leak problem that wasn't user error. I take it everywhere and often sleep with it next to me in bed. I don't often use the straw (sometimes when driving) just because I LOVE the "chugger" so much. The key is the perfect size opening and the AIR INTAKE VALVE!! I can drink practically the whole thing in one go because I don't have to stop to let it breathe, and I can just seal around the chugger and drink. This is THE BEST lid/top for a Nalgene ever made. It is awesome and I hope they never stop making it. I've had so many people ask me about it once they see me drinking out of it. I just tell them "multi-drink" on Amazon, and they love it too.

Nice Bottle. There are Better Lids.
I bought these just to get the lid, since the cost was the same getting the lid by itself or getting it with one of these little bottles. It's nice having the smaller bottles as an option for adding it to a purse or a flight bag (it fits perfectly in the side pocket of the FlyBoys pubs bag!). But mostly I just got this for the lids. This lid is alright. It's nice that it has the high-flow smaller opening which makes it super easy to chug a lot of water after a good workout. The sippy-straw is a good idea because it lets you be a little more discrete taking a drink in class… but really, who cares if you take a drink? Also, I had two of these lids, and both had issues with leaking. By contrast, the original Nalgene lids that came with my old Nalgene bottles didn't leak—so that was a downer. The straw that broke the camel's back was that the lid broke the first time I dropped the bottle on it. Yeah, I shouldn't have done that, but it happens sometimes, and you should know this lid is not up to that task like the standard lids are. If you want a lid that lets you drink faster without spilling, I recommend the Humangear CapCap, which I also got on Amazon and liked so much that I ordered several more after trying the first one.

Leaks on side and upside down
Bought this bottle to replace my beloved contigo bottle bc it had leaking problems. Bought this specifically to get a bottle that wouldn’t leak when turned sideways or upside down but that also had a straw. Sadly as seen in the video it leaks on it’s side. I simply opened the package, filled with water and closed it to test it and it leaked immediately. Will immediately return.

Irremovable plastic residue - or beware the blue
I have four of these bottles. They help keep my hydrated at work to allow me to sip throughout the day and before I know it, I've refilled the bottle three to four times each day while at work.I purchased a couple more in order to keep a rotation of clean ones. I already owned one purple and one gray one, so I bought a red and a blue one. I had no trouble with any of them except the blue one. For no reason other than wastefulness (at least for online sales) each bottle comes wrapped in a thin plastic which is (usually) removable. There is scoring to rip along the bottle to make this simple. However; the blue bottle's plastic clung to the container in a percentage of its surface area. In some cases, I was able to remove the plastic after several laborious minutes. However, most of this stubborn plastic refused to budge, would shear away a fraction of its thickness, or would leave glue residue. This leaves the entire container unappealing and in some parts sticky. I have attached pictures of multiple sides along with a comparison that shows what it should look like. The above is my main complain; I am hoping a representative will contact me.Assuming you do not have this trouble - the bottle is very good. I do have some complaints about the lid somewhat. Occasionally when I refill the water (to approximately the 20oz level) I experience a slow leak out of the straw if left open - even undisturbed on a level desk. Tilting it can allow a torrent of fluid to escape the straw. This either does not affect all of my lids or it is random. This has on occasion left me with either a wet desk or wet paperwork. Once the liquid is below a certain level, this doesn't seem to be a problem.
