It works well and is very sturdy. It is flat and about the width of a cell phone but not as tall so it will easily fit in your pocket.A fellow nurse advised I get a “camping mirror” for showing my patients how to care for their ostomy. I needed a sturdy plastic mirror and this was the closest product that came up in my search results (it looked exactly like hers). Unfortunately, I forgot to check the dimensions first and it is way too small for my needs. I was able to find what I needed by searching for a “teaching mirror”. I just hope it will be as durable as this one!

Currently I have braces and I am very insecure about things being stuck in my braces. I wanted a small, lightweight mirror to check if anything was stuck in my braces. This works very well in my briefcase, it is so light that I can't tell that I am carrying it. It's made of acrylic and not glass, so it will not shatter or break the same way glass does. Isn't as heavy either. Works well for the intended purpose that I bought it. Would be great for makeup or shaving while traveling. I really like it.The only thing I dock a star for is not being as versatile as actual glass or the polished stainless steel plates. I would not use this as a survival mirror, personally. I do not think this is intended to be a signal mirror, it might be able to used as such in a pinch. Haven't tried to make a fire with it either. Buy an actual signal mirror for your bug out/emergency/disaster kit.

Reflects like a mirror is supposed to. I've gotten these in the past from REI and use them in my bathroom, desk, and garage. They are plastic and will scratch if treated roughly, so handle carefully or consider a sleeve.

works fine as a mirror or as a reflector of the sun for safety or a good reflector to start a fire. Quality is good what used for. easy to clean. easy to use. very durable...perfect thickness for durable.

Bought this as a travel mirror and was hoping it would survive better than a glass mirror. Second trip something must have smacked it just right or put pressure on it. Its plastic, but it is not unbreakable. I now have a mirror that is cracked. (Yes I know it never said unbreakable in the description and I never assumed it was). I am just putting this out there that while its not glass, its not unbreakable. At least I don't have glass all over the place, and its still usable. If you want something fully rugged, then look for a stainless steel mirror.

Mirrors are an underrated item for camping and backpacking. Sure, you can use your phone for some tasks, but you will never get the proper angle or clarity staring at the selfie camera compared to a mirror. Got something in your teeth, need to check something on your face, signal for rescue, look for a tick in your nether regions? This has you covered. I keep it in my boo-boo kit in my hiking daypack.
