Can you buy 2 and zip them together to make one big sleeping bag to fit 2 people?

No. Won’t work. I bought this item. It’s no good for cool or cold weather either. Indoor use only !

Is there a temperature rating on this sleeping bag?

There may be but I have a bad memory so I don't remember. What I can tell you is I've used the sleeping bag multiple times and it is comfortable and warm. It worked effectively and kept me warm when my heat went out.

Can this be used inside for sleep overs inside?

Yes, it's a good weight for an indoor sleeping bag. I use it inside frequently, in a cold apartment. Note it doesn't have any significant cushioning, so if the sleep over will mean sleeping on the floor, you might also want an air matress, or just a blanket, or some flat pillows.
