Great product - glides well. I was tirelessly searching for a chair mat (glass vs woven fabrice vs plastic) to protect my hardwood floors but realized these would protect my floors if replacing the plastic castor wheels.One thing to note, you're going to sit higher than before. Fortunately I have a standing desk, so I simply raised my seated position by a few inches.

Swapped out the stock wheels on my chair for these and immediately felt the difference. They glide like inline skates and don’t make that annoying scratchy sound across the floor. No more plastic cracking or catching on the carpet edge. Install took under 2 minutes and they actually make the chair feel newer. Zero damage to hardwood and they roll smooth even when I’m sitting heavy. Should’ve done this a long time ago.

Oh gosh I don't know where to start. I've had these since 2022 replacing the wheels on my office chair since I had to work from home. Let me tell you, it still works really well, even after 3 years. It rolls smoothly and there are no stickiness to it. I feel like a kid again who went from a plastic entry level Rollerblade to a smooth gliding one. Excellent fit for my ODept executive type leather chair. Talk about roller blade like! These wheels roll my 300 lb+ body on my glass mat like stuff on a door knob! Perfect could not be happier. Got these faster then I could take a nap wow Amazon !

If you work from home, or have your own home office, study where you're behind a desk and you don't want to mark up your hardwood floors, these wheels are awesome! Easy to install on your existing desk chair, and be warned, you can scoot around pretty smoothly and unexpectedly if you're not paying attention LOL. I've had them on two desk chairs for over a year now, and really happy I purchased them.

I decided to try these due to my office chair being in a carpeted room, my office mat is all cracked and broken and honestly the wheels cost less then a new good mat, and while it is not perfect it's pros definitely outweigh its cons.Lets start with the cons first since that is shorter1) While the wheels won't damage your carpet anywhere near the degree that traditional caster wheels do you are not going to be gliding across the carpet without a mat as such your chair without a mat will be a lot more stationary then with a mat.2) The wheels are pressed in and not screwed in so if you damage the wheels you can not replace just the wheels like you can on say roller blades, like if you where hanging pictures in your office, dropped a nail without noticing it and ended up having the nail damage the wheel you have to replace the whole unite and not just the wheel.3) Because these wheels are effectively roller blade wheels they have minimal wheel touching the ground and as such will sink into padded carpet more easily then traditional wheels (not a big con since they won't rip it up, but it does make rolling that much harder if you sink into the padding)And that wraps up the cons, told you it was a short list, now for the pros1) The wheels will not tear up your carpet like traditional caster wheels do, I personally would still keep the rolling to a minimum but you won't have chunks of carpet getting stuck in the wheels2) After about a minute or so of use allowing the grease to get throughout the bearings it rolls very smoothly.3) While I would still suggest having a floor mat for carpet, with the wheels being bigger and with more clearance then traditional caster wheels it rolls extremely smooth even on my busted up broken floor mat, the same mat my old office chairs wheels would get stuck in and end up tearing up the carpet due to the cracked mat, it rolls over nice and smooth without and issues.4) While it doesn't feel like it is made out of the most expensive parts in the world, it does feel like the metal and wheels are at least of a good quality, not the best possible, but the best that is needed for it's purpose, like I wouldn't use these wheels to go street skating, but they are perfectly acceptable for roller rink skating which is more then enough for an office chair unless your office is outside on the street on a road.All in all, these wheels won't be some magic answer to be able to roll across shag carpet without a floor mat, but they will work great on shorter carpets you would find in say an office and still be perfectly functional for mid length carpets you would find in most homes. If you are looking for some magic cure all to not needing a floor mat on medium length carpets, this won't be some magic elixer, But if you are looking at maybe the fact your floor mat is beat up and doesn't work well with traditional wheels any more and you don't want to spend $60 on a new floor mat these wheels will work great for exactly that purpose. (Plus if you are anything like me who will eat in their office while doing work I would suggest keeping that beat up floor mat just to help keep your carpets clean from any food spills anyways)All in all if you have realistic expectations these wheel really are better designed for not ripping chunks of carpet out, they feel to be decent quality, and they work much better then traditional office chair wheels. Just don't expect to be able to roll half way across the room on your shag carpet in your bedroom, definitely more for short to medium carpets and not long carpets.The only two reasons I am giving this a 4 instead of a 5 is because A the not being able to replace just the wheels if they get damaged despite being effectively roller blade wheels on a office chair wheel mount, and also because most people ignore the 1 and 5 star reviews because they often offer less insight as to the pros and cons of the product and so the review is more likely to be read if it isn't an extreme score of max or min, if possible I would put it at a 4.5 but Amazon doesn't allow you to do half stars.

Bought a $500 Shack-Chair from Office Depot and the dual wheels were impossible to roll around. Bought the 3" solid black wheels and WOW, what a difference. I was skepticle,but without a reason. Buy these, you won't be disappointed!

These replacement wheels for my office chair were as easy to install as the directions stated in Amazon. Simply a matter of pulling out the “old” wheels and inserting the “new”! DONE!
