How many showers can you take with 5 gallons?

Honestly none because the water runs out quick and if you put 5 gal of water the material eventually tears so we couldnt put 5 in. You have to shower very quickly and dont think about washing your hair in there not enough water to do so

Can the bag handle boiling water? I want to fill it with water boiled at a camp fire when I need to shower at night.

The temp of the water after a day in the sun is about 115 degrees. I don't believe my bag could handle anything hotter. I would call the manufacturer before putting boiling water in the bag. Water boils at 212 degrees. Your risking burning yourself putting the water into the bag. The reason the bag is black is to soak up the sun's rays. I would advise NOT to put boiled water in the bag

Does it hang inside the tent by some kind of suspension?

It really depends on what you are buying. So be super sure you read the description careful. A plain SHOWER tent will have a rod with some sort of strap to hold the bag. As to just a plain "privacy tent" which is just a place to change your clothes. That being said, watch the prices. The higher end tents come with their own water tanks/bags/shower heads.
