MTM 18-Round Case-Gard Ammo Wallet (Clear Smoke)

I don't know how long this company has been in business, but the build quality and feel reminds me of a time when beer was only served in bottles, legends were real, bigger was better, and Radio Shack had the good stuff. But, seriously, it's $6 bucks, and it's like finding an ammo wallet in your Grandpa's tool box that was long lost. Does it have a place in modern times? Yes! I use it to hold my self defense ammo when I'm at the range and keep a case full of my dummy ammo. If you're a gear head you'll know you need to have one. I also got one for my girlfriend to carry extra .38 ammo for her revolver. $6 bucks. Think about it haha

I was looking for something to hold my ammo that i can cut into my foam TSA approved case. The cardboard boxes that fall apart after some use and i'd rather have something that will be the same shape. TSA can not complain about this as it is far superior to any manufacture's box.The rounds are independently held in place and none of them move one bit. The box is made out of tough plastic and is heavy duty on it's own.

It's been over 20 years since I bought one of these wallets, but I finally lost my .38 wallet and had to order another. The quality is still great and the wallet works perfectly. The cartridges snap in and out perfectly and the case closes and stays shut positively. I have an MTM rifle cartridge wallet, a .22 wallet, and a .44 wallet -- and they all have been great through the years. It's good to see that at least a few things are just as well made as they were many years ago. Not very many products can have that said for them nowadays. Since I have several .38 revolvers, I'll be ordering more of these wallets -- now that I see that they are still a quality product.

Works great fits 9X19 lugers perfectly and compactly as well. Perfect for my go bag, definitely going to purchase some more. The price wasn’t too bad it’s good quality so I don’t mind the $6 for the purchase.

I purchased this box because it had great reviews, and I have purchased MTM boxes in the past. However, I believe the boxes I received are defective, or sized incorrectly. I placed 18 Hornady Critical Defense rounds into the box, and the lid will not close. When I forced it to close, it just popped right back open. The boxes may work for .380, but the ones I received will not work for 9mm. I am going to send them back or have them replaced.

MTM makes a solid product, maybe the best ammo carriers out there. All their products are made of top-quality materials that won't crack when dropped, won't warp out of shape due to heavy loads, snap shut very securely, just top-notch in every way. I carry loose rounds in addition to speedloaders and this wallet enables me to carry them neatly and securely but still ready to go when I need them. I love the way you push down on the tip and it pops out ready to go. Just a nice, flat package that slips right in a pocket and doesn't get tangled up or dirty with the other junk in there.

Great for easy carry of ammo; thin and flat; takes up very little space. No more odd shaped boxes. Perfect for range bags, car, or in pocket, etc. Hint: to insert in the slots: push the back rim of the cartridge down into the back of the slot, then push the whole cartridge down; to remove: push the cartridge down at the front, and the back of the cartridge pops right up for hassle free removal! Easy-Peasy. Has great reputation for durability. Both 38 Spl and 357mag will fit case. Each case comes with a red sticker that identifies both calibers; just cut in half and stick on case as needed for quick identification.

... but it's great!!!The rounds sit at an angle, and pressing on the elevated side pivots the round up (like a teeter-totter) so the round can be picked up easily. It says it is a wallet... it is the SIZE of a typical man's wallet, so it can be carried on your person if needed.The beauty is to be able to remove your hollow points when practicing at the range.
