No it's not tiny. I would say it's half to 3/4 of the size of a regular kids book. My 6 year old loves it. She writes in it

The hard cover measures 6 1/4 inch by 5 1/2 inch and 11/16 of an inch thick the pages are a little smaller than that.

Probably about 100 or so pages, size of a small notebook. My daughter really liked it.
