You can't just stick the guide on with glue. Glue would be applied to the leg part of the new guide but you will need fishing rod thread to wrap the guide leg and you will need some epoxy to seal the thread.

While the package came with a variety of eyelets and a melt stick to glue them onto a fishing pole, the melt stick is useful only to attack the tip eyelet. The rest would require wrapping thread and some type of epoxy. This kit had neither, hence the three stars.
