Akebono-ACT1445 Brake Pad Set, GREY

I always buy the akebonos for my daily drivers, vest replacement brakes and don't make a mess of ftermarket wheels, very low dusting!

I got these for my 2011 Sonata (rear). Perfect fit. Absolutely no noise what so ever. Braking is smooth and quiet. These are made in USA. Happy with the product and seller - Autoparts USA. I will choose only Akebono brakes for my other cars too.

The brake pads are slightly louder than the OEM, but that may be due to the swirl marks on the new centric premium rotors. I understand that this helps bedding the brakes, and perhaps the noise will lessen with time. On the other hand, the bite is much improved so i am very happy with the pads.But that is not the reason for the poor rating. The poor rating is because the pads and inner packaging were covered in some sort of grey grease. It was all over the plastic and on the pads themselves. I had to use brake cleaner to clean them, and i am not sure everything came off. I doubt this was a factory thing, so i blame the seller for reselling something that was tainted. i ordered front and read, but only the rear had this issue.
