Excelente cuchilla.
Es una cuchilla resistente, no es para maltratarla tampoco pero para el EDC está excelente, buena retención del filo, fácil de afilar por la forma de la hoja, los materiales de las cachas son micarta de verdad.

Disappointing...but then redeemed
Update 22 Nov 2023:Vosteed customer supported contacted me about sending a replacement for my defective Raccoon. I was really impressed with the customer service I recieved. They did not mind that I already used the knife as a "beater" knife. They provided me a black micarta in satin in exchange for my stonewashed green micarta. I am therefore upgrading my review to reflect this. In addition, after sharpening the defective raccoon, I did notice that the steel was able to create a wire burr extremely easily with my diamond stones and also easy to get rid off with my diamond strop. This tells me that Vosteed has been heat treating their 14C28N at their optimal hardness which I am very pleased. All in all I am extremely happy with my replacement, no issues whatsoever. I'm glad that Vosteed stands by their products and I definitely will purchase more...maybe the Dachshund? Thanks again Vosteed!Original Review:The Raccoon model is Vosteed's most popular knife and rightly so. It has excellent neutral ergonomics with a decent broad blade at an excellent price. An extremely slicey knife, and tough especially with the axis lock. When Vosteed decided to create a sheepsfoot version, I immediately bought one as I already have bought two of the axis lock spearpoint versions. They are that good. However, this one that I have has a factory defect. As far as I can tell from the pictures at their website and here, the sheepsfoot version has a swedge on top of the blade. The swedge helps in passing materials through when cutting. Mine came with only one side that has the swedge on top of the blade and not the other. It seems that Vosteed's quality has gotten bad, not sure what happened as a missing swedge should have been caught by QC. I even still remember that the Raccoon comes in a metal tin box. Oh well. From now on I will be very wary when buying from Vosteed again.

Awesome!
This is an awesome knife! After months of constant fidgeting the action is just as good as it's ever been. The lock feels super secure when it's open. The reversible pocket clip is a must for me being a lefty. The knife feels secure, I haven't had to adjust the action or re tighten anything at all since I've gotten it.The shape of the knife is great! I like the robust finger choil, I love that it has both thumb studs to give me options for opening. The handle feels great and feels even better now that it's broken in a bit.Handle and knife size is great. When open the shape of the handle feels really secure and reliable. The edge was nice out of the box and easy to re sharpen. The shape of the knife does a lot of the work too if you're not the most diligent at caring for the edge like myself. For under $70 this is a great value. I'll probably look to get other colors at some point.

It was love at first sight
This was my second raccoon. The first was the black aluminum with the what look to be tire tread or either frag scales. The first one was so smooth and appealing to not only my hand but my eyes as well. That was until I saw the cleaver blade for the very first time in ordered it immediately. As soon as I got it I feel madly in love with a micarta scales and the cleaver blade. I honestly feel that you could not find another knife of that quality for that price. My deck's order will be one of the busty raccoon carbon fiber scales and I can't wait to get it as well. If you thinking about buying Vosteed raccoon, stop thinking about it and just do it I promise you you would not regret it.

Color
The color of the blue on the micarta handle, is not as vivid or true as it shows on the pictures. Its noticeably more pale, not as rich as shown on here or the Vosteed website.Blade is not centered.

Great addition to the Raccoon line!
If you look at my pic, I have the Knife Rubato 2, Vosteed Raccoon drop point, two Raccoons with the new sheepsfoot blade, and an older Benchmade Triage with the sheepsfoot blade.I gave this knife five stars. Is it the best knife out there? Nope. But is it a great knife at the price point? Absolutely. It is lightweight, it is grippy in either G10 or micarta, it carries well, the 14C28N steel sharpens up very well and is corrosion resistant, the blade profile is either a flat or very shallow hollow grind (good utility profile), the crossbar lockup is very good and easily accessible for righties or lefties, and the blade design gives you a very usable amount of edge for the length. Both my petite wife and I (with larger hands) can easily and safely carry, deploy, and use this knife. If you wanted to better any aspect of it, be it blade length, handle material, steel type, etc., you'll have to spend more to get it. The only "con" is that people living in areas where the blade length or lockup is prohibited will need to find something else.

My First Crossbar Locking knife
Black Friday purchase. Super sharp, the micarta scales are grippy, thumb studs are flush with the scales, large and easy to access. Reversible pocket clip with recessed screws; blade is centered in the frame. Comfortable in the pocket and in the hand. I have hardly used it, so no durability or usability reports.

Disappointing Compared to the Top Liner Lock Version
I love everything about his knife except the lock. The lock on this knife is very stiff. I'm sure knife experts can probably remedy that by taking it apart and adjusting the omega spring, but IMO it should come perfect from the factory.I much prefer the Vosteed Raccoon Top Liner Lock version of this knife. In fact, my eyes and the eyes of many, it's the best sub $75 folding knife on the market. Get that one instead of this one.
