Customer Service
I purchased the Waykar 216 Pints Commercial Dehumidifier with Pump for a large basement area, and I’ve been very impressed with its performance. It works as advertised—powerful, efficient, and able to handle a big space with ease.I did encounter a small issue with the control panel, but the customer service was excellent. They responded quickly, were professional and friendly, and resolved the issue right away. It’s rare to find a company that stands firmly behind their product, and it really gave me peace of mind. The included pump and drain hose make continuous operation simple, and the washable filter makes maintenance easy. Overall, this unit is a workhorse and I’d recommend it to anyone needing reliable humidity control for basements, commercial areas, or flood restoration. The 5-year warranty is a great added benefit.

Powerful and effective
I purchased a Waykar 155 pint commercial dehumidifier after reading positive reviews online. Here are the details of my experience with this unit:1. It is powerful and the range of humidity control is excellent. I did a test and set up a drying rack with wet clothes in the room. Within an hour the shirts were completely dry and heavier items (jeans and towels) within a couple of hours.2. Unlike other dehumidifiers I’ve owned, this unit does not have a removable water reservoir. Water either goes directly out of the dehumidifier by hose (bypassing the internal reservoir), or it is directed into an internal reservoir and pumps out automatically when the reservoir is full. I tried both features and prefer the internal reservoir/pump option. It allows me to use a large bucket to collect water without the constraint of other types of units with a removable reservoir that would need to be emptied more often.3. I initially had an issue with determining how to configure the hoses for the two different options for water outlet (from #2 above) but Waykar customer service is excellent. They sent me a video showing what to do -- it involved redirecting a hose inside the unit, which did not require any exceptional handy-person skills.4. Seeing the amount of water that is being collected in the bucket is ironically satisfying. It tells me (a) that this dehumidifier is incredibly effective and (b) my house really needed this. Initially the dehumidifier was extracting more than a large bucket of water a day.5. I’m including 2 photos showing water collection. The white bucket is taller than the hose outlet and the thin hose to the left is pumping water out of the internal reservoir. For the direct outlet (larger hose coming out of the right side) I used a smaller/shorter bucket because I believe this is relying on gravity to expel water from the unit.I hope this is helpful to someone considering this dehumidifier. I am very happy with my purchase of this commercial unit.

dehumidifier
It takes a lot of water out of the air. Works great to make the house less humid. A rubber piece has broken so we will work on replacing it to get it back up and running for the summer.

Worked decently until suddenly it didn't
It started misbehaving after seven months - pushing its own buttons at random, changing its settings. It tended to disable itself by pushing the humidity setting up to its maximum.Customer support was… a bit sketchy. They nominally offered to repair it (as they should, under warranty) but tried to convince me to go with a variety of other arrangements that basically centred around me giving them a good review. I insisted on repair, and sent it back to them - which they made me pay for, at over $100 in shipping - and they seemed to forget about it. Weeks later I followed up, and they instead refunded my original purchase price. So ultimately I got seven months of use for about $100 and a bit of hassle. The price has since gone up substantially, so buying a replacement would put me out of pocket by several hundred more dollars.Until it failed, it worked pretty well. Details below, in case you're still interested. Though FWIW I replaced it with a Colzer PD582A, which thus far has been working better.Prior to purchasing this Waykar dehumidifer, I had been using the hOmeLabs 4,500 (70-pint) - but despite all the marketing claims in the product listing, that 70-pint model was not capable of keeping a 3000 sqft house ≤50% RH (in California - not even super humid). I still have it & use it, but as a single-room dehumidifier, which it's mostly able to handle. This Waykar 130-pint model, on the other hand, was able to dry my whole house. It didn’t even need to run 24/7 to keep my entire house at ≤45% RH at 18°C (65°F). It uses no more power than the aforementioned hOmeLabs unit, but is far more effective & efficient. It looks well made - it feels sturdy, and not cheap. But it has three downsides, two of which are frustrating, unforced design errors:1. Its built-in reservoir is only 5L, and that fills up fast given how effective this thing is. It is, surprisingly, smaller than the 6L+ reservoirs even the 50- and 70-pint competitors offer. It’s also a bit tricky to remove (to empty) without spilling. A rubber matt (or similar) is definitely required if you're using this on a finished floor.2. Its control panel is permanently lit up in a super-bright blue light, which illuminates my entire house at night and is disruptive to sleep. There is no way to turn the light off.3. When it fills, it issues *fifteen* high-pitched, loud beeps. Even with walls & closed doors between me & it, it wakes me from sleep sometimes. There is no way to turn this noise off (or down). It is also fairly loud in general operation, with the fan on high (as I use it). It is a bit quieter on the slower fan speed, although it’s noticeably less efficient in that mode (though your mileage may vary depending on the airflow in your space).
